Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming Sunderland City Council to SOS’s HQ and Factory in Tutbury. 👋

It was fantastic to showcase the wide range of products we design and manufacture, and to provide a detailed tour of our site.

Our visitors had the chance to see our state-of-the-art equipment and robotic facilities in action — technology that allows us to make each custom chair and mould unique, helping us deliver the best possible comfort, support, and independence for every individual we serve.

A big thank you to the Sunderland City Council team for taking the time to visit and learn more about what we do! We are excited to be working with you and cannot wait to see the difference our products can make!

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our wonderful colleague and friend, Sue. 🌟

Sue has been such an important part of our team at SOS —bringing not only her expertise and dedication, but also her kindness, positivity, and warmth to every purchase and every day.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re excited to cheer her on in this next chapter - in sunny Devon. Thank you, Sue, for everything—you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 💐💛

We’re thrilled to welcome two incredible new starters to the Drive SOS family – Jackie Barnard and Tom Riley! 🙌

✨ Jackie joins us as our Clinical Product Specialist, bringing her expertise as a qualified OT and passion for supporting the community with specialist seating solutions.

✨ Tom steps in as our new National Wheelchair Manager, leading our wheelchair service team and strengthening Wheelchair clinic partnerships while bringing a great depth of industry knowledge.

We’re committed to investing in people who make a difference – and we couldn’t be more excited to see the impact Jackie and Tom will have.

We don’t share this enough — but this story truly touched us. 💙

Sebastian recently travelled with one of our most loved products, the PPOD, and his parent Sam shared these heartfelt words:

“I can honestly say that we would not have had the same amazing experience had we not been able to take this with us, especially as he sleeps in it on a night. There was plenty of room in our cabin to move the chair around and he loved to sit on the balcony for some chill time.

So I would just like to say on behalf of myself, my partner and Sebastian, a massive thank you to everyone who made this happen for us. We are so very grateful. We look forward to many more cruises knowing that we can take this essential piece of equipment with us — and hopefully may help many other families in the future 😊”
