🌟 A Moment of Pure Kindness at Tuxford Manor 🌟
Recently, a family new to the Tuxford area reached out with a thoughtful idea—to bring joy to our residents. Their two daughters, aged 12 and 14, came bearing gifts and warm smiles for 10 of our lovely residents. ❤️

Even better—the whole family came along, bringing their little dog, which delighted everyone! 🐶 Residents lit up with conversation, laughter, and furry cuddles.

Moments like these remind us how community kindness touches hearts and lifts spirits. At Tuxford Manor Care Home, we’re proud to welcome it with open arms. 💛

A Moment of Calm at Tuxford Manor 🎄🕯️

This week at Tuxford Manor Care Home, residents have enjoyed a full programme of festive activities and Christmassy events — bringing laughter, music and plenty of cheer.

Alongside the celebration, there was also space for something quieter and deeply meaningful.

This week, the church came to Tuxford Manor, offering a calm and reflective service for residents who chose to join. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene, providing moments of stillness, comfort and connection during a busy time of year.

For many residents, services like this bring quiet relief, familiarity and a sense of community. They offer reassurance, reflection and the chance to reconnect with faith, tradition and memories that remain important throughout life.

Christmas Cheer at Tuxford Manor 🎄🎶

Tuxford Manor Care Home was filled with smiles, music and festive joy when our local Scouts popped in to share some Christmas tunes — and it didn’t take long for the whole home to join in.

Residents tapped their feet, sang along and enjoyed every moment, with the familiar songs sparking memories, conversation and plenty of laughter. For many, music is a powerful way to connect — bringing comfort, confidence and a sense of belonging — and seeing the Scouts perform created a truly special shared experience for everyone involved.

Moments like this are at the heart of person-centred care. They offer choice, encourage participation and help residents feel connected to their community. Visits like these reduce feelings of loneliness, lift mood and remind residents that they are valued, included and very much part of the world around them.

A huge thank you to our local Scouts for bringing such warmth and festive cheer to Tuxford Manor. You filled our home with music, laughter and Christmas spirit — and created memories that will be treasured long after the final song 🎄💙

Creativity, Companionship & Wellbeing at Tuxford Manor ✂️🎄

At Tuxford Manor Care Home, we know how important it is for residents to stay physically and mentally active — and how powerful shared activities can be in bringing people together.

This week, Keeley, our Activity Coordinator, decided the Christmas table centrepieces needed a complete overhaul and quickly roped in a few willing residents to help. What followed was an afternoon full of concentration, conversation and — most importantly — serious laughter.

Craft activities like this offer enormous benefits. They encourage gentle movement and coordination, stimulate the mind, spark creativity and create natural opportunities for companionship. Working side by side helps ease feelings of loneliness, builds confidence and gives residents a real sense of achievement and purpose.

The results were beautiful, but the real success was written all over our residents’ faces.

Music, Laughter & Life at Tuxford Manor 🎶💙

Another joyful day at Tuxford Manor Care Home, nestled in the lovely village of Tuxford, where music once again brought everyone together.

Our Activity Coordinator and her wonderful team of supporters organised a lively singalong, followed by a fantastic saxophonist who had residents singing along while he filled the room with the most amazing music. Smiles, tapping feet and familiar tunes quickly turned the afternoon into something truly special.

Days like this are about so much more than entertainment. Music lifts mood, encourages movement, sparks memories and creates shared moments that residents can enjoy, talk about and treasure long after the last note has played.

What makes it even more special is the care team behind it all — a team that goes the extra mile every day to ensure life at Tuxford Manor is full of warmth, connection and genuine joy.

Life at Tuxford Manor

There’s always something going on at Tuxford Manor Care Home — and we absolutely love shouting about it! 🎉

Our brilliant Activity Coordinator Keeley certainly knows how to keep residents on their toes. Last week alone she transformed herself into a snowman, an elf, Mrs Christmas… maybe even a polar bear? Who knows what’s next! One thing’s for sure — her endless energy keeps residents chuckling and fully involved every day.
Last Friday, residents were treated to two firm favourites: Jamie’s Exercise, helping everyone keep active and moving, followed later by Andy Land, whose singing and entertainment had everyone smiling and joining in. Both are always a huge hit at Tuxford Manor.

We’re incredibly proud of the fun, lively atmosphere in the home, where entertainment, laughter and connection are part of everyday life.

Music, laughter and a whole lot of jingling at Tuxford Manor this week! 🎶✨

In the lovely village of Tuxford, Keeley led a brilliant music session where every resident had their own instrument — bells, shakers, tambourines and more 🛎️🥁 — and the room was full of singing, rhythm and smiles.
