This Chinese New Year falls on the new moon in Aquarius and on a ring of fire solar eclipse. Solar eclipses act like a cosmic reset. Paired with the fire horse energy, which is bold, fast moving and fearless, this marks as a turning point. This year doesn’t whisper, it pushes.

2026 is considered a ‘double fire’ year in Chinese astrology, the year of the Red Fire horse. This rare 60-year cycle occurrence happens because the horse’s inherent element is fire, which is further amplified by this year’s heavenly stem which is also associated with fire, yang fire. This creates intense energy, representing rapid change, creativity and potential volatility. The fire horse signifies culmination and brilliance often associated with a childlike heart; there is a need for discipline to manage high energy this year.

This isn’t gentle energy, it’s ignition. What’s meant for you doesn’t arrive late. It arrives when your soul is ready to receive it. Get ready beautiful soul.

We thank the wisdom of the Wood snake for asking ‘who are you becoming ?’, as you release the skin you no longer need. Wood energy grows roots, snake energy sheds in silence, striping illusions and clearing karmic cycles which hasn’t been easy. The snake’s work is done and the masterful and prophetic snake drifts off into a 60 year slumber and lets the fire horse in to ask, ‘why aren’t you living it yet?’ We can now run towards our dreams instead of away from our fears, the snake has taught us how to instinctively survive, bend without breaking. The full snow or cold moon during Imbolc is a powerful purification and rebirth gateway. Imbolc is for restoring hope and rekindling inspiration as we awaken the seeds of our dreams and nurture them. In this time we honor Brigid the goddess of fire, healing and poetry as she blesses the home that shelters us. She is the first breath after winters long hold.
This full moon is in Leo, time to come back to yourself. Shine bright and let your light be seen. Walk slowly, choose kindness, trust the path. This is your moment may you meet it awake.
This is also the last full moon in the year of the wood snake. The final shedding of what no longer serves us. We are stepping in to the gateway of the ring of fire, opening our heart chakra like a living flame, a definitive high frequency glow up.
