🚫 It's time to break free from the chains of denial! 🙅♀️
Obesity denial is a real issue that many people face, but it's crucial to confront the reality for the sake of our health and happiness.
In this photo I was nearly 1️⃣7️⃣ stone 😢
I knew I was overweight but wouldn’t class myself as OBESE however at 5 foot 8 I was in the obese category.
I had been eating my emotions for a long time to get over childhood trauma and family dramas 🎭
With counselling and deciding to stand up to my problems and the people who were causing the problems it was now time to reclaim my power, find me again, be the person I deserved to be - happy and healthy!
Don’t get me wrong I am all for positive body image self love and embracing our unique beautiful bodies despite size, weight, scars etc however I am keeping it real here if you’re overweight you are reducing your life expectancy by putting extra pressure on your joints / bones, heart and other organs!
This plan has helped me reset my eating, focus on my mindset and lose 60 lbs that’s over 4 stone to date and will soon be starting my maintenance journey.
I no longer wake up with aches and pains in my ankles, knees, hips, back and shoulders.
I no longer eat my way through the chocolate aisle at the supermarket to feed my emotions.
I no longer make excuses why I can’t do things because of my weight.
