Are you curious about starting yoga but not sure whether it's for you or do you lack the confidence to try? You will be warmly welcomed to Jasmine Yoga, an exclusive yoga destination at the coast where your yoga journey will start at a level that's just right for you. We offer many types of yoga and class styles from vinyasa flow, restorative and yin to beach pop-ups and dawn flows, mindfulness, pregnancy yoga as well as children's and teen yoga. Classes are held at Tynemouth Sailing Club where we have the option of a beautiful haven inside or an extensive roof terrace outside where you can enjoy the fresh sea air! We also offer a full-on-demand platform of Yoga and Mindfulness videos.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of inviting Sarah to teach her first studio class at Jasmine Yoga as a newly qualified yoga teacher.

Sarah has practised in our community since 2019, and as her love of yoga grew she decided to make the necessary changes in her life to complete her teacher training with Jo Hutton this year.

We’re so proud to see Sarah’s growth from student to teacher and wish her all success and contentment in her new adventure as a yoga teacher and community advocate.

Thank you Sarah for your warmth and trust, we’re excited to be with you on your yoga path.

✨The Peaceful Place - Sunday 26th Oct - 6-8pm ✨

“Peace is not the absence of conflict or stress, but the ability to cope with it.”

This is a nurturing event that mixes Restorative (relaxing) Yoga, Breathwork to calm & regulate, Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and beautiful words. Steph uses a variety of tools to help you to switch off, to value rest and to refill the cup.

What does it feel like to be peaceful?
🌟 Emotional calm: You’re not easily agitated, angry, or anxious.
🌟 Mental clarity: Your mind is not constantly racing or filled with turmoil.
🌟 Self-acceptance: You’re at ease with who you are, without constantly battling guilt, shame, or regret.
🌟 Present-mindedness: You’re not stuck in the past or worried about the future - you’re grounded in the now.

The fairy lights will be twinkling, the heating will be on and the props to get comfortable will be out, as well as all the little touches that we love at Jasmine 🧡 This is a treat for the nervous system and we’d love you to join us.

Happy Half Term - have a read of these special delights for all the family ❤️

Stepping in with Sarah - Sat 25th Oct at 3pm
This class is to support a newly qualified yoga teacher find her voice, her rhythm and her confidence. We’d love you to come along and be supportive, kind and smiley.

The Peaceful Place with Steph - Sun 26th Oct at 6pm
This is beautiful and nurturing extended event that gives you the opportunity to switch off, release tension and truly relax… a cosy, sumptuous evening, finishing with a cup of Dream Tea before heading home.

Mum & Baby Soundbath with Jo - Mon 27th Oct at 11am
Join Jo with your baby (non crawling), for a special sound bath, designed to help you and your baby relax and restore with the calming sound vibrations of crystal bowls and chimes. You’ll be welcomed and encouraged to get as comfortable as possible with props and blankets, before being bathed in gentle sound vibrations for a peaceful rest.

Kids Yoga for Neurodiversity - Tue 28th Oct at 11.45am
Join Steph for an inclusive session that includes yoga games and mindfulness & breathwork activities specifically for autistic children and those with Down syndrome, ADHD and Global Development Delay. The session will be child-led with activities to explore independently but also an opportunity to come together as a group to play and use our imaginations through yoga.

Kids Yoga (age 3-10) - Tue 28th Oct at 1.30pm and Fri 31st Oct at 11am
A fun filled yoga session for children and grown ups during the holidays. Join Steph to move your bodies, tell creative stories, play yoga games, learn about relaxation and have a lovely time. This class is suitable for 3-10 year olds.

Freedom to Flow Workshop with Joanne - Sun 2nd Nov at 10.30am .clements.501
Joanne has been a doctor in the NHS for over 20 years and has a busy career in hospital medicine. In this workshop she explores yoga through the lens of strength and mobility. You will delve into the anatomy of yoga and explore how traditional yoga postures relate to functional movement for modern day living.

We’re introducing to you a wonderful new event on Saturday 1st November 3pm-5pm.

Join Jo for a fascinating exploration as we take a deep dive into Pratyahara in an exploration of the senses.

The event will include a blindfold element as well as a focus on sound, touch and taste as we journey around the yoga mat, shifting perspective and opening to new experiences.

Take a leap of faith and join us for a fun and interesting afternoon at our Yoga Haven.

I had the pleasure of hosting a 2 hour Deep Rest Event this afternoon.

The invitation was simply to press the pause button for a nourishing rest…. Sounds easy but sometimes rest can feel really inaccessible. We rush and very often don’t prioritise and even under value the worth of deep self-care.

At the end of the Event, the quiet energy was tangible, a silence that wasn’t awkward or forced but simply deeply peaceful, beautiful in fact.

Our next Deep Peace Event is between Christmas and New Year on Saturday 27th December 4-6pm.

We are excited to share details of a new event - Freedom to Flow on Sunday 2nd November 10.30am - 12pm.

Joanne has been a doctor in the NHS for over 20 years and has a busy career in hospital medicine. Here she explores yoga through the lens of strength and mobility, delving into the anatomy of yoga to explore how traditional yoga postures relate to functional movement for modern day living.

Joanne’s style of yoga is very much underpinned by her knowledge of the physical body and anatomy but she loves creating flowing vinyasa classes. Classes that not only allow you to feel strong in your body but also allow you to develop strength and resilience in the mind.

In some of our classes this week, we twisted and turned our bodies, mirroring life’s journey not in the straight predictable lines, but in the unexpected turns and curves.

Even during the messiness and uncertainty, when life turns us upside down, new clarity can arise, we can see things differently so no experiences are wasted, every twist has potential to open up our perspective.

We can reflect on the curves, the twists, and the returns, the new views, the surprises, they’re all part of our unfolding.

Each time we return to a familiar place or experience or emotion we have an invitation to change our perspective and see it with new insight and wisdom.

What happens when you’re feeling stressed?

You might feel hot…. or perhaps short-tempered… or overwhelmed and tight… maybe you’re hyper aware of your heart beating or your sweaty palms… or you zone out and feel disconnected like you’re observing your own life…?

We each respond to stress in many different ways… sometimes it’s good stress that helps drive us… sometimes it’s bad stress that leaves the tank empty.

Rest & Restore every Sunday at 6pm helps to fill up your cup before Monday calls. We explore different techniques to regulate and balance. It’s a mixture of very gentle movement, breathwork and mindfulness to develop your understanding of what relaxation feels like in your mind and body.

We were reflecting earlier today on the impact of welcoming so many new people to our studio in the last few weeks and months and how far our community has come from the early days as our vision has unfolded.

Even just this week we have held space for 3 week old babies and their mums, for children out of mainstream education, for brave souls stepping onto the yoga mat for the very first time and we’ve taught neurodiverse children with their families.

We have cultivated safe, quiet space for people with incurable and life changing illness and as always have welcomed our loyal, generous -hearted regulars back to the mat again and again and again.

It’s a gift…. All of it!

To be able to truly acknowledge that what we offer you at Jasmine Yoga is inclusivity, through the joys and the sorrows of life, really is a gift and we are appreciative of you all every single day.

Oh I loved yesterday’s Mum & Baby Social and sharing in this crazy, precious, exhausting, beautiful time with you wonderful mamas ❤️

We have quite a few lovely Mum & Baby offerings… They’re all available to book into now on our schedule or you can read more on the Postnatal page of our website…

✨ Mum & Baby Social - Monday 20th Oct at 1.15pm - for any new mums - it’s just a chat where you get tea and homemade cake. (We also have a Festive one in December). Steph looks after you refilling your tea cups, handing out cake, and helping you get to know each other. Stacey brings warmth, baby toys and positive affirmations to help you navigate this rollercoaster!

✨ Mum & Baby Soundbath -Monday 27th at 11am - to help you and your baby rest and restore with the gentle sound vibrations (for none crawling babies). It’s really fascinating how the babies respond to the sound waves. A beautiful, mellow experience to try with Jo!
