If you were wanting more colour in your life and in your podiatry treatments, we are pleased to say you can add polish on the end of any 40 minute treatment. We are picky with our products and so only used the podiatrist lead brand Poderm, who really know about nail health. Book up to 8 weeks ahead using our online booking, so if you are a planner you can be in and scheduled ready for holidays!

So, what is involved take get your feet from before to after? The answer is time, attention to detail and a nice sharp scalpel blade! Having treatment on your feet shouldn’t hurt and even brilliant results like this can be achieved without unecessary pain or soreness. Just comfort straight from the moment you put your feet down. I know one can get a bit too eager for the festive season but I realised it’s only 2 weeks until Tynemouth’s Christmas shopping event! One day a rather nervous patient decided to finally get some help and advice about their feet. They decided that it was about time they see what could be done about these toe nails. And we are so glad they did. So what did we do?

Well the first thing was to explain that this condition is extremely common and that helping them feel better about their feet is our priority

We did a five minute fungus test (like a lateral flow test but for fungal nails) at the first appointment which was positive and so could determine this in fact what it was.

We chatted about treatment options and on the back of that, we wrote to this patients GP to request some oral medication to help clear the fungus.

And in the mean time? Whilst the medication was doing its thing, we did some nail reconstructions to disguise the infected and damaged nail so this patient could still have a lovely summer wearing sandals and not having to constantly cover up their feet.

And now, all nail reconstruction removed and healthy nail growing in well! Give it a bit more time and growth and these will look even better still.
