Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday 10th April 2026, aged 90 years.

Beloved wife of the late Sidney John; loving mother of Danny, Jamie, Frank and John; a kind and caring Nan to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Public service at Aberystwyth Crematorium on Friday 1st May at 11.30 a.m.

For those unable to attend the crematorium, but who would like to raise a glass in memory of Jean, there will be an opportunity to do so from 2.00 p.m. on the day of the funeral at The F***y Talbot, Barmouth.

Family flowers only, but donations, if desired, will be gratefully received in memory of Jean towards Severn Hospice, c/o the Funeral Directors.

Passed away peacefully at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth, after a short illness, on Tuesday 7th April 2026.

Beloved husband of Brenda; loving father and father-in-law of Karen and Gareth.

He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

Public service at St. Cadfan’s Church, Tywyn, on Monday 27th April at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment at Tywyn Town Cemetery.

Family flowers only, but donations, if desired, will be gratefully received towards Hywel Dda Health Charities (for the ICU at Bronglais Hospital), c/o the Funeral Director.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Seven years ago this month, a journey began that I will always be incredibly proud of.

When Aftercare first started in 2019, there was uncertainty about how we would be received within the community. But what was never in doubt was our commitment to care, compassion, and going above and beyond for every family we serve.

Our very first funeral took place in Barmouth seven years ago, a moment that will stay with me forever. I will always be deeply grateful to the families who, despite not knowing me, placed their trust in me to carry out such an important role.

Since then, we’ve grown in ways we could never have imagined, now with offices in Tywyn, Dolgellau, and Barmouth.

But one thing has never changed.

We have always believed in keeping things personal. When you call us, more often than not it will be me on the other end of the phone, and together with my team we will guide and support you every step of the way.

While the appearance of our offices in Dolgellau and Barmouth may not have changed since the previous funeral directors retired, we are very much present and proud to be part of these high street communities.

Seven years on, our purpose remains the same: to care for families with kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion when they need it most.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted us along the way. 🩶

Adored husband of the late Mavis, and sadly missed by all those close to him.

He will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends.

Public service at St. Mary’s Church, Dolgellau on Friday 27th March at 11.00 a.m.

For those unable to attend the service but who wish to bid Edgar farewell, the hearse will pause briefly outside the Torrent Walk Hotel between approximately 11.50 a.m. and 12 noon before making its way to the Crematorium.

🌸 Mother’s Day can bring many emotions. For some it is a day of celebration and gratitude, while for others it can be a quiet reminder of a mother who is deeply missed.

Beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of Gwyn, Dylan and the late Ian; fond mother-in-law of Jill and Carolyn; and a caring Nain to all her grandchildren, and a proud Hen-nain to her great-grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Loving father of Leo, beloved son of Carol and the late Roy, devoted partner of Jayne, much loved brother of Karen and Jane, and a fond uncle to Ashley, Joshua and Rhys.

Brendan will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends.
