There appears to be a national issue with the EE mobile and broadband network which may be affecting our ability to contact some patients by phone.

We have had assurance from our phone provider that they are in contact with the network to find a solution.

*UPDATE: As of 8.15am all phones back up and running. All calls cleared within a few minutes. Thank you*

We appear to be having with our phone system this morning with phone calls not connecting to our team. We have reported to our telephone supplier and are awaiting further updates. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our online form is currently open.

In line with NHS Sussex’s instructions, the practice will be closed this afternoon from 12.30pm for protected learning time. Local pharmacies, including the Buxted pharmacy remain open. Our two dispensaries (which part of the practice) will also be closed.

We will be open as usual from 8am tomorrow (Thursday 3 July). If you require anything urgent which cannot wait until we re-open, please call 01323402710 for medical help and support between the hours of 12.30 and 6.30pm.

Remember you can always use the NHS app to order any repeat prescriptions.

Tuesday 1 July, 7pm at Buxted Medical Centre

Come and hear what the practice and Patient Participation Group have been doing on your behalf in the last year and our plans for the future.

It will be great to see our patients where they can hear first hand about what's been happening at the practice and meet both team members of the practice and members of the patient committee.

There will be a Q&A Session hosted by Dr Sarah Perry (GP Partner) and Charlotte Luck (Practice Director) as well as various updates from the patient participation group.

Refreshments will be available. Advance notice of attendance is helpful for catering purposes but not compulsory (you can confirm your attendance if you wish by selecting 'going' on the AGM event page). Refreshments available on a first come first served basis.

The practice will be giving an update on what’s been happening and what difference the new patient system has been making to the telephones and patient access

Dear Patients,
Many of you will have seen in the national press that with effect from yesterday, new national rules have come into effect regarding the prescribing of Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) for weight management within GP surgeries.
Only a very small number of patients will qualify for this treatment in a primary care setting due to the very strict eligibility criteria which applies:
- a Body Mass Index of over 40 (or 37.5 if from a minority ethnic background)
- and 4 out of 5 of these conditions: type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart and vascular disease, high cholesterol and obstructive sleep apnoea.
We are currently awaiting further guidance from NHS Sussex; as such, we are not yet in a position to begin prescribing Mounjaro, even in eligible cases.
Once we receive the full details and have reviewed the requirements, we will provide a further update

Good morning, we would like to advise our patients that we are experiencing some slowness with the Accurx triage system this morning.

Accurx are aware and are investigating the cause and solution to this.

If you have submitted a form this morning we will get back to you but it may be a slower response than we would normally aim for.
