A lot of people think a sauna is the dry hot room you rush into at a gym or leisure centre. Wild Spa Wowo is something very different. Here it’s a full nature immersion.

FAMILY SAUNA STORYTELLING: STEAMY BLUEBELLS

Sunday 25 May | 10AM-12PM | Wild Spa Wowo, Sussex

Join storyteller and sauna master Fleur Shorthouse for a magical family sauna storytelling experience in the heart of the Sussex countryside.

This playful two hour session invites parents and children to share the warmth of the sauna while entering a world of traditional stories, sensory experiences and nature connection. This is our only event that is for children - our spa is usually over 16's. This is designed for families to slow down, connect and share a moment of wonder together.

Expect:

• Different sauna styles and traditions with international sauna experts and bath masters
• Talks, Q&As and workshops

If you’ve been following along but can’t manage the whole 3 days, this is a good way to step in.

That said, the full 3 day ticket is a completely immersive experience. Camping, extra community activities, full sauna immersion! If you can, that’s the one.

Textile Free Sauna Sessions at Wild Spa Wowo

On the second Sunday of every month, the last session of the day at Wild Spa Wowo is a textile free sauna session. This means you’re welcome to enjoy the sauna, cold plunge and hot tub without swimwear.

(All other sessions remain clothing mandatory from the waist down)

Three pioneering practitioners rooted in tradition, each bringing their own approach to sauna through ritual, teaching and lived practice.

Across three days in the woods, you’ll experience sauna beyond the surface. Rituals, talks, Q&As, workshops, steam, fire, rest.

This is not a big festival. It’s a smaller, more focused gathering. Space to connect, learn and go deeper.
