With spacious individual rooms ,en suites and a patio door We also have coffee morning and activities here every day ,on site hairdressers ,cinema room ,a shop to get all your essentials from ,daily menu choices and food and drink available 24/7. Behind every delicious meal at Temple Grove is our brilliant Kitchen Team – Karen, Radu, Aurelia, Daniela, Anny and Pauline. Together they prepare nearly 200 home-cooked meals every single day, catering for individual tastes, dietary needs and celebrations alike.
“We are a well-organised and supportive team who enjoy working together in a positive atmosphere,” says Head Chef Karen Skelton who joined Temple Grove 13 years ago. “Every member of our team knows how much they are valued.”

Autumn is particularly special in Sussex and – on the edge of the Ashdown Forest – we’re perfectly placed to take in the season’s stunning colours. At this time of year our landscaped gardens and woodland walk come alive with golds and reds, admired by residents, visitors and everyone who works here. You don’t even have to go outside to take in the autumnal vibes; ground floor rooms open straight onto private patio areas, while upstairs, large picture windows are set low so everyone can enjoy the changing seasons.

A few photos of a cheeky pub lunch enjoyed by some of our residents a few days ago. Destination? The Nevill Crest and Gun near Crowborough. Atmosphere? Over 500 years of history, fire in the grate and autumnal sunshine in the garden. Food? Hearty and delicious. Bar? Went down very well... thank you for asking. Looks perfect: please can we come too next time?!

At Temple Grove, every drink is a chance to support health, independence and connection. A recent study shows that staying well-hydrated helps sharpen attention and supports memory in older adults – as well as guarding against common health issues.

That’s why our residents are busy dreaming up new flavour combinations for Temple Tonics – fresh smoothies designed together with our kitchen team. From fruity blends to creamy classics, every sip brings hydration and extra vitamins....

Temple Grove Care Home sits in the grounds of a former school, so there’s no shortage of wonderful views as the leaves turn. Some of our residents even remember its school days – what an impressive building it is!
A stroll in the grounds with Director Mark Ellison offers the chance to reflect on Temple Grove’s rich history, while enjoying the autumn sunshine and friendly conversation… the perfect blend for a happy day.

Impossibly honoured to host John & Audrey’s Diamond Wedding Anniversary party. Much-loved residents here at Temple Grove, they celebrated 60 years of marriage surrounded by family, friends, fellow residents and staff. Romantic doesn’t even come close…
