The date for the next OT Retreat has been finalised and I’m already very excited about our theme this year and possibilities in store ( just wait and see 🤗)
After much searching to accommodate a different date, I’ve concluded it’s the best venue for us so the date is :

Sunday 6th September - Wednesday 9th
Wo wo camp East Sussex

Our model : Kawa

All the usual treats :

Wild spa and sauna
Mindful walks/Forest bathing
Sensory gin tasting
Yoga/Tai chi or Qi gong
Canoe/boat at local beauty spot and wild swim ( exploring)
Community cooking

And more .. 🤗

Advert will go out in next couple of weeks but you can reserve your place sooner if you are following this page , just DM . No need to worry about camping yet as waiting promotional code ( we get a great discount !)

A little birdie told me that the OT Retreat WhatsApp is now live for this years attendees.

I’m probably going to end up with over 100 photos of this baby Robin whose been right at my feet the last 15 mins ❤️

Calling all Retreat attendees. Will be circulating an email to alert you to start up of this years WhatsApp group this Saturday a.m. we have 27 attendees and several on waiting list now
Please wait til list is fully compiled on WhatsApp otherwise some people may not see introductions 😊

Just to say, we’re working hard to produce OT Retreat information pack for this years theme based on Wilcocks model of Being, Doing, Becoming, Belonging. We’re excited with how it’s starting to shape up, the creative juices are flowing with our fabulous planning team !

Due to the delay, for those not yet booked, the early bird rate will be extended to 23.05.2025.

‘Being, Doing, Belonging, Becoming’ - Wilcocks Model

The OT Retreat team are fabulous and I’m buzzing, inspired and very grateful following our first meeting. 🥳I’ll introduce Sarah, Amy, Emma, Angela, Pilar and Lucy to you shortly, they are all previous attendees.

For those of you who have signed up, hoping to get the Retreat pack to you next weekend. Payments are now due.

We still have spaces available ( capped at 25 so don’t leave it long ! ). Early bird rates are extended til mid May. Phased payments are available, just ask

Many OTs do self fund but if you’re wanting to put a case for time off, funding, a few tips :
Read the intro to model in pack, think about HCPC standards, see how many you could tick !
Look at employer info
What do you need to restore or sustain well-being, work life balance ?
Diagnosed/self identifying as neurodivergent ? - we have an Affinity group which is so rich in CPD , Belonging, self care, work. It’s also a perfect time to attend with our patient population needs. There is an ongoing WhatsApp group with research links , discussions and support.
Align your objectives from appraisal , match organisational values
Think about your professional development, what would make a difference, what skills and knowledge do you want to develop, what could you bring from Retreat to your service delivery, group work etc.
Offer to do a well-being session for your team
