An update on the Biz, which is coming to close it’s 2nd full time year this month.
Some of you know it was a challenging year last year, personally, on top of completing a BTEC level 6 qualification and growing my massage biz. The highlight by far, has been meeting you amazing lot, you make my working days enjoyable and I’m always grateful that you choose to visit my business. I’m really pleased to report I have seen an increase in bookings and referrals and a lot of that is down you sharing that I’m here, so I thank you for this support, it makes a huge difference.
After a recent increase in bills, which unfortunately is more than I am able to absorb into my current rates, regretfully, as of May 2024, my Basingstoke fee will be increasing to £54, and Alresford to £57 per hour.
< Discount Options >
I would like to couple this price increase with these offerings:
Referral discount – If you refer a new client to me via email, and they subsequently book and pay for their first massage, you will be given £5 credit, to offset against your next massage. I will create T&Cs and pop this on my website closer to May.
Block booking discount – You can lock in my current rate by block booking 3 or 6 massages and paying for these up front before May 2024 (please email for more details).
Corporate discount – you may be able to request massage as part of a corporate perks package that your employer may provide. If you are unsure, you can speak to them and see if it’s something they would consider offering, which would mean you can claim back the cost of your massage via your employer. If you already have this perk, it’d be great if you could share in the comments, which scheme your employer offers?
< Alternatives >
If you are a regular client and don’t feel you can afford these new prices, I would much prefer to discuss this, than lose your custom, I want to be as affordable as I can and understand current financial strains, so please reach out on text or email.
I am so grateful for everyone’s support and I’d really love to keep building this business so I can continue to provide massage and a sterling sense of humour.
Looking forward to seeing you on the couch soon 🙌

Client Review - How massage can be the stepping stone for healing.
Gulya, a yoga teacher with upper arm/shoulder pain that had been aggravating her for the last 2 years, to the point of impacting her sleep and work.
We had 4 sessions over 6 weeks, using targeted massage, stretching on-couch, resting from aggravating activities and eventually strengthening exercises.
We reduced her pain significantly over this time, it no longer woke her through the night and reduced enough to allow her to maintain her work.
We agreed that she would go away and continue the exercises, as part of her maintenance routine.
I'm pleased to say I caught up with Gulya (a year later) and here's what she had to say:
"So nice to hear from you! I’m actually pain free. It’s a miracle, and I can go much deeper in my practice now."
Bottom Line?
I don't claim to fix people in pain, I help them work out what's aggravating their body, put a plan in place and use massage to reduce stiffness and pain in the short term, to allow exercise rehab and most importantly, to let the body heal naturally.
This approach does require you to make some changes, and put in some work to help the body heal, but the outcome is well worth it!
I've seen several clients with what feels like hip flexor/groin tension/pulling, and I myself struggle with this sometimes.
Here's a stretch I've been doing after periods of sitting, to help relax off that tight inner thigh muscle.
Start position - get into a normal lunge position, as pictured, as if you want to stretch the front of your thigh.
Adapt - to hit pectineus, rotate your trailing leg so your lower leg position is on the 45d angle, as pictured. Then lean forward and see if that feels tight, bingo!
Hold for as long as you have time, or until you feel the area start to respond/relax.
Happy Friday and please spread the good word of all things massage!

Hello and thank you for visiting my business page. I’m not one for writing atmospheric monologues but I would like to take the time to share a little bit about me.
About Me
I am an energetic and fitness-orientated individual, I strive to learn and keep developing in all that I do and I enjoy helping those around me, particularly through volunteering at sports and massage events where people push themselves to achieve their best.
Health and fitness have always been an interest of mine, having studied nutrition at university, going on to complete a post graduate in sports nutrition and then studying sports and remedial massage at the Oxford School of Sports Massage. As we all know, the body is a complex system and I find it thoroughly rewarding that I can identify possible causes of aches and pains and provide treatment to alleviate these and help the people I meet feel better and stay active.
Fave Sports
My sporting background began with badminton, playing at club level and for my university, I will always have an affinity for this sport, it’s so underrated but so athletically demanding. Fast forward a handful of years going to the gym and I have since joined my local running club Hatch Warren Runners who took me from a ‘5km on the treadmill once a week’ runner to a 3 x week sessions including those dreaded incline sprints, until I reached my goal of running a whole 13 miles without stopping - it’s a powerful thing to go from not believing you can, to smashing it and enjoying the challenge.
Then the hockey equivalent of the Big Bang happened, we only went and won the 2016 Olympics! I saw on a local advert that Maddie Hinch was visiting Basingstoke hockey club and decided I’d go along to meet her. It was great fun, I held her gold medal and managed to sneak into the club photo. It turned out I was stood next to the Chair of the club who convinced me to give hockey a go and I’ve now been playing for 3 years.
The Next Chapter
Since gaining my qualifications, I entered working life and have qualified as an HR Associate, which is another area of interest of mine. Whilst working full time, I have been balancing my spare time this year to get my business prepared and actualised and I’m so pleased to say I am officially opening for business! I will have a treatment room at Worting House in Basingstoke from mid-August 2019 along with other massage ventures still to be announced.
Thank you to everyone that’s supported me and donated their body’s for the purpose of scientific discovery (you know who you are), and if you are interested in finding out more about the treatments I offer please visit my Services page or message me in Messenger.
