The goal of yoga is peace 🕉️

Shanti (peace) is the goal of yoga. Disturbances in the mind arise from the constant flow of thoughts and their accompanying emotions, which create restlessness and ashanti (lack of peace). The practice of yoga—through asana, pranayama, meditation, and awareness—aims to reduce and quieten these thoughts, allowing them to recede so we can access the natural state of inner peace already within us.

This shanti is not something external to be attained but our true nature, which we can connect with anytime through mindful practice. Experiencing this inner quietness brings contentment, happiness, spaciousness, and expansion. All practitioners are on this shared journey toward peace, and with consistent effort, everyone can reach it.

Tuesday and Wednesday Yoga for All classes have now finished for a summer break.
Both are now fully booked for the new term starting in September but get in touch if you’re interested in joining the waiting list as sometimes places become available.

Friday Yoga for All ends 25th July and restarts 5th September, no need to book, drop in when you can.
Here’s a little bit about my style of yoga:
“I teach a slow paced, mindful, breath-led yoga with the intention to make it accessible to all. My classes are suitable for complete beginners.
You are invited to go at your own pace, rest when you need and I offer different options to suit each person.
We work on gentle sequences and explore different poses, breathing techniques and finish with a relaxation accompanied by the soothing sounds of singing bowls and other instruments.
Not only does yoga help with mobility and strength it can help us to find a quiet space within away from our busy lives.
Most importantly it is enjoyable and something you want to do again. We have enough challenges in life and yoga is about finding a sense of peace and steadiness.”
