Slow, easy breathing activates a parasympathetic response: the part of your nervous system that nourishes and rebuilds your body and lays the foundation for a calm and pleasant state of mind. That’s exactly what the “breathless pace of modern life” requires as a balance!

“I teach a slow paced, mindful, breath- led style of yoga with the intention to make it accessible to all. My classes are suitable for complete beginners.
You are invited to go at your own pace, rest when you need and I offer different options to suit each person.
We work on gentle sequences and explore different poses, breathing techniques and finish with a relaxation accompanied by the soothing sounds of singing bowls and other instruments.
Not only does yoga help with mobility and strength it can help us to find a quiet space within away from our busy lives.
Most importantly it is enjoyable and something you want to do again. We have enough challenges in life and yoga is about finding a sense of peace and steadiness.”

Time to rest and be slow❤️

Time to rest and be slow❤️

I don’t think you’re simply tired,
I think you’re regenerating.

Like all of mother nature’s children in winter, your instinct is to curl up, hunker down and reset.

You’re not less.
You’re simply in tune with the sun.

And as the dark days begin to wane, your inner wild fortifies and evolves, bolstered and renewed, cocoon-style.

Ready for the new beginnings, ready for the reinvent.
Ready.
Simply ready.

So, let yourself be led down the rabbit hole, when the weariness washes over and your body begs to rest.

I don’t think you’re simply tired.
I think you’re regenerating.

❤️

✨🎶 Individual Sound Massage Therapy ✨🎶
Hi, I’m Hilary a yoga teacher and Sound Practitioner of Bathed in Sounds.
I am a fully accredited Peter Hess Sound Massage Practitioner and have been offering this gentle yet powerful therapy for several years from my studio in Ulverston.
Here’s a little bit about the therapy.
You will be lying on a massage table fully clothed and special Peter Hess® therapy singing bowls are placed on and around the body and gently sounded.
Finishing with a soothing sound bath with crystal singing bowls and other instruments.
As well as hearing the soothing sounds of the singing bowls we can also feel the sound vibrations moving through our bodies. These vibrations invite our body and mind to release tension and to bring us into a state of deep relaxation.
Using sound therapeutically can help to bring us to a state wellbeing by resetting the nervous system.
A Sound Massage is an individual treatment and lasts for 75 minutes.
The cost is £45 per session.
Message or email to enquire about availability and your preferred day/time: bathedinsounds@gmail.com.
Monday: 11am, 2pm or 7pm

Shanti Om
A Moment of Peace
Take 10 minutes to pause and unwind. Get comfortable and cosy, headphones recommended.
As you close your eyes feel your body softening as you let go of tension. Invite the breath to become slower maybe have a sigh.
Remembering a time and place when you experienced a feeling of peace and bring the feeling into your body, mind and breath.
Enjoy this little moment of peace knowing it’s there inside your heart whenever you need. Take a few slow breaths with your hand on your heart and maybe chant shanti as you breathe out.
