So who we are and what do we offer? Sarah Atkinson MNINH Dip Phyt - Herbal Medicine
I've been a practicing medical herbalist for the last twenty years. Over the years I've found that the emphasis of my consultation changed, from focusing totally on the herbs to looking very much at what people eat and drink. This, combined with listening to peoples life stories has made my approach to dis-ease
much more holistic, which benefits my patients by giving them more control over their health. Medical Herbalists are trained in the same diagnostic skills as orthodox doctors but take a more holistic approach to illness. The underlying cause of the problem is sought and, once identified; it is this which is treated, rather than the symptoms alone. Herbalists use their remedies to restore the balance of the body thus enabling its own healing powers. Jane Alexander MA Reiki and Crystal Therapy
I have been practicing Reiki for almost seven years and I qualified as a Reiki Master Teacher in October 2009. I am part of the Tibetan / Usui tradition and follow the teachings of Dr Usui. I am also a Master Teacher Member of the UK Reiki Federation. I qualified as a crystal therapist in January 2010 and as a Crystal Master Teacher in November 2011. I trained with Phillip Permutt, who is also my Reiki Master. Reiki is a Japanese system of natural healing which seeks to create balance within the energy system in order to promote well being. Treatments take place fully clothed and offer an hour of deep peace and relaxation. Crystal therapy is another holistic energy therapy in which crystals are placed on and around the body to create a ‘grid’ or ‘web’ of natural healing energy. Treatments take place fully clothed and offer well earned time out from the strains of everyday reality. Caroline Anderson MFHT Reflexology and Massage
Nature and Nurture has come from my belief that we can learn so much from being still in nature and observing...and also that we need to nurture our own mind body and spirit, allowing us to nurture other people and animals in our work and private lives. My therapies endeavour to reflect this deep belief, and using healing and relaxation techniques within aromatherapy/reflexology/ holistic facials help my clients to find some peace in an otherwise busy and sometimes stressful life.

I am an experienced Bowen Therapist fully registered with the Bowen Association UK and Bowtech Australia. The Bowen Technique is a remedial, hands-on therapy that is applied using very gentle pressure. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen’s unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue and no force is used making this treatment safe for anyone including babies and pregnant women. The experience of a treatment is gentle, subtle and relaxing. It is believed that the Bowen Technique prompts the body to reset, repair and balance itself and clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy. Bowen therapy can be used for many different conditions. Rosemary Scholes
I am a qualified Crystal Therapist, offering one-to-one Crystal Healing sessions individually tailored to suit each client. I have a scientific background (BSc. In Biology and Chemistry) and worked for several years as a Medical Bacteriologist in a large Manchester hospital. Subsequently I spent many years as a Floral Art Demonstrator before deciding to train as a Crystal Healer. I have a great desire to help others, through this modality, to reconnect with their energy systems and to work towards a more balanced approach to their own healing journey
N.B. Please remember that complementary therapies are just that –
complementary - and are not intended to replace professional medical
care. You must see a registered health care professional for any
condition you may have.
