I am a BASRaT accredited, Graduate Sports Rehabilitation Therapist, graduating from St Marys University, twickenham with a Bachelors of Science degree in 2017. From a young age I have always had an interest in injury rehab from competing at national and international levels in Athletics. I seemed to injure myself a lot during these years and therefore have been in and out of physiotherapists clini

cs, surgical procedures, sports massage treatments, and rehabilitation programmes. I like to see these unfortunate trips as a blessing in disguise because I got an insight into what is really needed to make a full recovery both physically and mentally. This is what gave me the passion and knowledge to help guide you through a tough but rewarding process. My aim is to provide you with the most up to date evidence based treatment and rehab programs to assist you in achieving your goals and help you recover to your full potential. I believe in taking extra time to help you understand your injury and get down the the bottom of why it occurred in the first place. I won't just treat your symptoms, I will provide you with exercise rehabilitation, pain education, hands on treatment and self management strategies to help prevent future recurrence.

🏋🏼‍♀️Mobility vs Flexibility🤸🏼‍♀️

I often get asked this question and whether one is better than the other.

🔹Mobility is the ability to ACTIVELY move a JOINT through range of motion.
🔹Flexibility the the ability to PASSIVELY lengthen a MUSCLE, i.e. static stretching.

To have good mobility you need to be able to control good flexibility. One cannot be useful without the other.

You might be able to comfortably touch your toes when without bending your knees in standing BUT when you try and do the same movement on your back and bring your toes to your hands without pulling them towards you, do you get the same outcome?

How good is your mobility and flexibility?

😣Pain...😣

Pain is so complex and misunderstood when it comes to injuries. Often if you’re in pain all you want to do is take pain medication, eat comfort food and not move.

Your body is designed to move so if you completely stop doing everything altogether you can sometimes make your pain worse.

Pain can be a blessing in disguise. Let it help you see where you need to improve and what you need to alter in your lifestyle to help you get better.

What do you think? Are you ready to embrace your pain and find your road to recovery?

💙 Please share and like to spread the word.. Pain is GOOD! ✅

🤓 - Carpal Tunnel Syndrome🤓

👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼Swipe for more info👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is where pressure on a nerve in your wrist causes pain and numbness in your hands and fingers. It can be quite common during pregnancy. Also having a job/hobby that means you repeatedly bend your wrist or repeated gripping can mean you’re at risk.

Tibial Stress Syndrome is more commonly known as shin splints. It is an overuse/repetitive strain injury That affects either the indside (medial) or front (anterior) of the shin. Medial tibial stress syndrome is the most common of the two and is very common among runners. This can be due to increase in intensity of training, poor shock absorption from footwear etc.
