Measles is a preventable condition- make sure your children have been vaccinated.

Seventeen children have been treated at the Liverpool hospital for the virus since June.

SGN and WCB utilities have provided updated information regarding the upcoming roadworks starting 21st July, scheduled to last for 6 weeks.

Station Road will be fully closed during this time. WCB has confirmed that the closure will be near the station.

Leonard Avenue will remain fully accessible throughout the works.

Access to the practice will be available via High Street or Sevenoaks Road.

We understand this may cause significant disruption when travelling to and from the practice. Please allow extra time for your journey to ensure you arrive promptly for your appointment.

If you would prefer to change a face-to-face appointment to a telephone consultation, please contact the practice. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Following recent news articles about the prescribing of injectable weight loss drugs (Mounjaro) in primary care, we have been receiving a lot of enquiries about them.

Regrettably, at the moment we are not able to prescribe these drugs for weight loss purposes due mainly to issues of capacity. More information is available below explaining the decision.

Mounjuro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a drug which has been licensed and approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for managing overweight and obesity.

Dear residents of Otford and Kemsing. Please be aware that as of 30th June the surgery will be changing our online triage system from AccuRx to Anima. You will notice the new Anima logo on our website and communications going forward.

Anima is very simple to use and is similar to our previous system in terms of how you communicate with the surgery.

The practice has recently been notified about cases of measles in our locality.

The best way to protect you and your children is to get vaccinated- please speak to our nursing team if you have any queries. You can check you or your child’s vaccination status online if you have the NHS app.

If you have a fever and a rash you may be asked to wait in your vehicle away from communal areas prior to assessment.

COVID-19 Spring Booster Vaccinations 2025

The NHS should contact you if you're eligible for a seasonal booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this spring.

Please do not call the Surgery as we are NOT administering spring booster vaccines this year.

Eligibility criteria:

You may be offered a seasonal booster vaccine if:

You are an adult aged 75 years and over
You are a resident in a care home for older adults
You are aged six months and over and have a weakened immune system.

The NHS is transforming into a digitally run service. Whilst for many people this is convenient, we recognise that some people find digital interactions difficult and fear being excluded. Kent county council is offering a series of workshops to try and help people get digital.
