🌿 A little team update from Woodland Connections 🌿
As some of you may already know, we’re having a small change within our woodland team.
Firstly, a huge thank you to Kyla, who has been part of Woodland Connections for a while now and has brought so much care, creativity, and warmth into the woods. Kyla is having a new adventure of her own, studying herbology and creating lots of wonderful things. We’re so excited for what’s ahead for her - although you may still bump into her in the woods as she will still be involved in the care of the hostel.
If you’d like to keep in touch with what she’s up to, you can follow her new page here 👉
Bramble & Bone Co. Kyla will be with us until the end of February, and we wish her all the very best for this next chapter 💚
And from March onwards, we're really happy to be welcoming Claire Hunter into the Woodland Connections team.
Claire brings a wealth of experience supporting children and families. She’s home-educated her own children, has worked as a learning mentor for 14 years, and spent five years as a trustee and volunteer with a local charity supporting the mental health and wellbeing of neurodiverse young people and their families. Alongside this, she works as a freelance creative wellbeing practitioner and has a lifelong love of the natural world, which she weaves beautifully into her work.
On a personal note, I’ve known Claire for many years, and we’ve worked together before as Relax Kids coaches, so it feels very special to be bringing her into the woods with us. She shares the same values, care, and approach that Woodland Connections is built on.
Thank you, as always, for your support and for trusting us with your children's experience and your time in the woods 🌳
