✅ Day 2 of the First Aid at Work course delivered today at the beautiful Lavender Fields Care Village near Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire. ⛑️

It’s been a pleasure supporting the team over the past few weeks with several courses as they build confidence in essential lifesaving skills. Their enthusiasm and commitment to learning has been fantastic to see! 🩹⛑️🚑

Looking forward to wrapping up with Day 3 tomorrow!

Received this message this evening off a young lady who attended one of our First Aid courses recently, what an amazing job she did administering First Aid.
⛑️
Her actions ultimately saved this boys life, we only provide our delegates with the skills to do something in the event of a Emergency First Aid situation, it’s up to them to apply them and stay calm……

As we tell our delegates in training…..

“IT’s BETTER TO HAVE THE SKILLS AND NOT USE THEM, THEN TO NOT HAVE THE SKILLS AND NEED THEM!!”….

She certainly needed them on this day and highlights the importance of learning these valuable life saving skills!

Fantastic day today returning to Barlow Primary School in near teaching to 18 children from year 5 & 6!!

It was lovely to see some familiar faces and was pleasing to see the children that attended last year, had retained so much knowledge!! 🙌🙌🙌

Thank you to the school BPASA for arranging our return visit, it was a fun filled action packed day!! 👌🚑⛑️🩹🤕

⛑️We met some amazing people who help house young and vulnerable adults in the local area 🙌🏻

With this Heatwave hitting the UK right now, can you spot the difference between Heat exhaustion & Heat Stroke???

If you think someone is suffering from a heat stroke call 999 immediately. 🚑

This is a medical emergency that could result in serious illness or even death!!!

While waiting for medical professionals to arrive you can help by getting them into a cool, shaded area, loosen their clothing and help remove the outer layer of clothing, fan air onto them and provide ice pack underneath armpits if possible, and be sure they are drinking cold fluids.
