Today is National Schizophrenia Awareness Day – 25 July

Let’s break the stigma and learn the truth about schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia is a long-term mental health condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. It does not mean having a “split personality”, and it does not usually cause someone to be violent.

With the right support and treatment, many people live well with this condition. The earlier it’s diagnosed, the better the outcome. 💙

Heat rash is a common skin condition caused when sweat gets trapped under the skin. It’s usually harmless but can feel quite uncomfortable.

🔍 Symptoms of Heat Rash:

* Small, raised red spots (on white skin)
* Grey or white rash on brown or black skin
* Itchy or prickly feeling
* Mild swelling

👶 Common in babies, but anyone can get it – especially in hot or humid weather.

💡 How to Soothe the Rash:

✔️ Apply a cool damp cloth or an ice pack (wrapped in a towel) for up to 20 minutes

✔️ Gently tap the rash – avoid scratching

❌ Do not use perfumed shower gels or creams

🌬️ Tips to Prevent Heat Rash:

👕 Wear loose-fitting, lightweight clothes

🚿 Take cool showers or baths

💧 Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated

🧊 Keep skin cool and dry whenever possible

⏳ Heat rash usually improves within a few days without needing treatment. However, if symptoms persist or worsen, speak to your GP.
