WITH OUR OFFICAL OPENING ON WEDNESDAY THE 29TH JANUARY AT THE HOUBEN CENTRE, 423 CRUMLIN ROAD,NORTH BELFAST.🙌🙌🙌

WE ARE NOW TAKING REFERRALS FOR CHILDREN.❗️❗️❗️

A staggering 1 in 6 children and young people were identified as having a probable mental health condition. This alarming increase in mental health problems among our youth has become a major concern for parents and society, especially as the NHS struggles to meet the demand for treatment.
At present some parents are waiting upwards of 6 months to get children's counselling.

If your child is on a waiting list for mental health support, we know how tough it can feel.

You’re doing your best to navigate a system that often feels slow and overwhelming. While waiting, there are steps you can take to support your child and yourself:

1/ Stay in touch with your GP: Share updates about your child’s condition and ask about alternative services or interim support.

2/ Keep in regular touch with your CAMHS service: Make sure your child is moving up the list or progress on this

3/ Speak with their school: They may offer in-school counselling, pastoral support, or other resources.

4/ Explore local services: Many communities have youth groups, peer support, or wellbeing sessions that can help bridge the gap.

Remember, your child’s mental health matters, and so does yours. Keeping yourself well gives your child the best chance of recovery. Lean on support networks, whether that’s friends, family, or other parents who understand what you’re going through.
