John Ashley, Walking Development Officer, delivered a brilliant 3‑minute presentation reflecting on the three‑year Sustainable Development Funded Gower Walking Project, delivered in partnership with Gower National Landscape.
It was fantastic to be part of such an engaging and informative Gower Forum at Reynoldston Village Hall on Wednesday 28th January.
Thank you to Gower National Landscape for leading the event and for inviting us to present — we really appreciated the opportunity to share our journey and achievements.
Here’s to continuing to support walking, wellbeing, and sustainable access across Gower! 🌊✨

Swansea Sport and Health presents - ALN Tennis Festival🎾
Join our Community Sports Team at Swansea LC on Thursday 12th February, 10:00am–1:00pm for a fun and inclusive Additional Learning Needs Tennis Festival.

Delivered in partnership with Special Olympics Cymru Wales and supported by Tennis Wales Tie Breaker funding, this event is open to juniors and adults with Additional Learning Needs. Whether you’re new to tennis or already play, come along to enjoy friendly activities, build confidence, and celebrate inclusive sport in a welcoming environment.

The festival will run between 10am - 1pm but if the bookings reach capacity, we will split the day into two separate sessions (10 - 11:30am and 11:30 - 1pm) to ensure as many pupils as possible can benefit from the opportunity.
We do have limited capacity, so please register your interest below and we will be in touch closer to the time with further details.

A big thank you to Swansea Bay University health board for delivering such an insightful course on pelvic floor health, led by the fantastic Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Team.

Great to see strong representation from NPT and Swansea Sport Development teams, Freedom Leisure and the West Wales Sports Partnership—a really valuable opportunity to learn, share, and strengthen collaborative working. 👏

Look out for this in your community!

Swansea Bay’s pelvic health physiotherapy service is running free community-based educational sessions about pelvic floor and health.

The sessions will be available to women aged 16 and over and will start in January.

They will cover information on bladder symptoms, such as leaking when you're laughing, jumping or exercising, or bladder overactivity, bowel problems such as faecal incontinence, prolapse symptoms, and pain with in*******se.

The team will also talk about menstrual health and pelvic floor symptoms to look out for in menopause.

The information provided will be relevant to women at various life stages, and supporting partners are also welcome to attend too.

Upcoming sessions will be held at:
• Tesco Llansamlet’s community room
• Morrisons Baglan’s community room
• Penlan Leisure Centre board room

You can find all of the dates and can book onto any of the sessions here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/pelvic-health-physiotherapy-sbuhb-119936844861
