We already knew she was a ⭐ but it was great to see our very own Fiona Mc Govern recognised for all her hard work & dedication as she was given the award for Outstanding Achievement in the Pharmacy Technician course by South West College yesterday. May 19th to May 25th is this year’s designated week for Dementia awareness.
Here at Belcoo Pharmacy we don’t need a particular week to remember or recall our friends who are living with Dementia, their families and careers, but it’s a nice time for all of us to reach out and offer some form of help or support in whatever way we can.
It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture, a simple phone call, a cup of coffee, an offer to sit while a family member catches up on sleep or a chance for a walk in this beautiful weather. If anyone wishes, we will always accept any donations and forward them on to the local Alzheimer’s Society.
Anyone looking for literature or local contact details for the Alzheimer’s Society in the Fermanagh area feel free to enquire in the Pharmacy.

- aged 75 and over
- a resident in a care home
- aged 18 to 74 years and immunosuppressed

Thank you Community Pharmacy NI for a very informative meeting today. Over 123,000 people use community pharmacy services in the North on a daily basis. In 2023/24 43M ordinary dispensing plus 16M multiple dispensing episodes took place which is around 1M safe dispensing episodes every week. Yet community pharmacy remains seriously underfunded with the number of closures increasing. We can’t afford to lose this vital resource from our local communities.
