We are pleased to let you know that the NHS Lung Cancer Screening Programme will be contacting our eligible patients soon to offer an appointment. The screening van is located at Asda Penryn.

All registered patients aged 55yrs and under 75yrs will be sent an invite in the post for a Lung Health Check, smokers/ex-smokers are sent an invite with a fixed appointment date, patients who are in the age range are sent an open invite so they can choose to engage or not.

They initially have a telephone triage call, then those who are deemed high risk are invited for a face-to-face appointment at the mobile scanning van. From here if suitable (e.g. not had a recent scan for something else) then will go straight on to be offered a low dose CT scan.
