Hi Lovely People.
As we are closed at the moment, i thought about previous weddings we have catered. Just for fun, tell me some of the fun or outrageous things that happened at your wedding or a wedding you attended
At a wedding i attended, the bride and groom booked a vintage London bus to transport guests from the church in Covent Garden to a posh hotel where the reception would be held.
The bride and groom had booked a beautiful vintage white London taxi to take them on their first journey as husband and wife, back to the reception. The brides mother refused to travel on the bus because it was beneath her and in the end made so much fuss that the bride and groom got on the bus and she had the taxi.
By the way the mother and father made no contribution to the wedding at all

While we are closed, we will be totally reviewing every aspect of Zinc Buffets & Zinc Mobile Bars
Due to the current situation, things will need to change
New menu's, new idea's and new ways of doing things.
But any menus already booked will be still going ahead as originally intended.

Website will be changing as well

Hi Wonderful Clients and friends
Just a quick message to inform you that we are closed at the moment and will remain so, till the government has given us proper guidelines to enable us to open again in a safe and secure manner.
We are still taking enquiries and provisional bookings, but cannot confirm anything till the above has taken place

I am sad to say, that, unfortunately we have had to cancel this years Summer Ball, due to events & circumstances outside of our control.
Of course this means that we will not be able to raise much needed funds for the Pilgrims Hospice.
We are trying to at least organise a charity event nearer the end of the year.

Just received this email from a recent wedding we catered for.



Hi Dan,

Thank you so much for last Saturday and all the preparations leading up to it.
Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the food and drink.
Both curries were a great success and the beef lasagne was very tasty as well.
Thank you for the apple crumble I requested - it was very good and I had 2 helpings!
I would also like to thank you personally for all your advice and guidance regarding not just the food and drink, but also regarding the planning of the day especially as I have never planned an event of this size before.
Stuart and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was so good to celebrate with so many friends and family.

The Ceilidh was a great success and it was good to know people could get a bite to eat in between the dances with the really tasty nibbles you provided.

Please also thank all of your team who worked so hard to make the day go so smoothly, not just during the reception but with all the setting up on the Friday evening and Saturday morning and all the other behind the scenes work involved, we really appreciated it.

Catered a 3 course Wedding Breakfast for Kristina & Ross at Godmersham Village Hall Yesterday
AS usual we were running around like crazy so were only able to get a few pics

We were asked to do a Bar for a Wedding Vow Renewal
Lovely people and lovely feedback.

Dan, Eliot And liv was our bar staff got my parents wedding renewal reception on Saturday.
These guys were amazing, professional and contributed to making our evening very special! I will definitely be using the team again.

Last Saturday, Both Zinc Buffets & Zinc Mobile Bars, were proud to cater for the wedding reception of Naomi & Billy at Tunstall Village Hall
Welcome Drinks, followed by Speeches and a Toast with Prosecco, before a Hog Roast with Salads, Warm Potatoes & Stone baked Rolls.
Full Bar Service all day, plus an Evening Buffet so no one started flagging
A fantastic day, and a big thank you to my staff who were all marvellous as usual, the Bride and groom were very happy with Zinc
As you can imagine we were running around a bit so didn't get the chance to take loads of pics
First 3 pics are of the wonderful pork cooking
Next 6 are the Evening buffet and last 2 are shots of the bar

On Friday, ZInc were honoured to cater for a wake.
We have just received some lovely feedback

Thank you Dan for such a wonderful spread, especially the cakes! The carrot cake seemed to take top marks!

It was a wonderful day and my brother Alex had a great send off, weather was perfect and the wake too.

I had a word with the girls, they did a grand job and did you credit.

Zinc catered a 3 course Wedding Breakfast, plus Tea & Coffee Station and an Evening Buffet for Emilia and Joe at Mycenae House in Greenwich on Saturday the 24th August.
Very early start and a late finish. But the team did a fantastic job even if I say so my self.
Both Emilia and Joe were extremely happy with our service.
Nice venue as well, just a stones throw for the Blackwall Tunnel

Just had feed back from the Wedding & Bar we catered for at Wootton Village Hall yesterday
The Lovely Luke & Leia (yes they did have the Stormtroopers March as they went down the aisle) left the following feedback

"Dan and the team catered our wedding this weekend and not only was everything delicious and plentiful, the team couldn't do enough to keep us happy, everything was prompt and efficient and not one face was missing a smile.
We had to rearrange our reception twice due to personal circumstance and there was never a question about anything being managed. During a stressful time Dan and his team just got cracking and I would not hesitate to recommend their services again and again.
Absolutely fantastic."

I have to say that Leia's dad's "father of the Bride" speech reduced all of us to tears. There was not a dry eye in the hall and was so beautiful and heartfelt. Well done Peter

Just had a lovely email from a client we catered for this weekend. A pre wedding Buffet on Friday and a post wedding Hog Roast on Sunday

Because it was so busy, we only had the chance to take a few food pics
The Zinc team were fabulous as usual, we did have some new members, who were just as fantastic as our normal Crew.
Lots of smiles and happy faces
Thanks to every one of them. The Kitchen Crew, Waiting Team and the Clean up Crew all did their jobs brilliantly
