At Hillcrest, we're committed to reducing emissions from homes and buildings, helping Scotland reach its net zero goals while creating warmer, more energy-efficient places to live and work.

What we're doing to reduce our emissions:

✅ Retrofitting homes with energy-saving upgrades
✅ Replacing outdated heating systems with clean alternatives
✅ Integrating renewable technologies
✅ Preparing for key standards like Social Housing Net Zero Standard and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard

We’ve already retrofitted 454 properties in the past year, including 22 whole-house retrofits, and we are tackling challenges in older tenement stock with heritage-sensitive solutions.

Together, we’re building a greener future one home at a time.

Some of the ladies from our Lauriston in Leith service in Edinburgh went on a lovely day trip along the canal with Seagull Trust Cruises - Ratho. The sun was shining whilst they enjoyed a cuppa and some biscuits.

Dr Bike – Thank You for Joining Us!

A big thank you to everyone who came along to the Dr Bike session yesterday, it was fantastic to see so many there.

We hope you found the free bike checks and advice from the Dundee Cycle Hub team helpful. Events like this are a great way to support active travel and keep our bikes road ready.

We’re hoping to hold more sessions like this soon, both at other Hillcrest offices and out in the communities we support. Let us know where you’d like to see a session next!
