Pelvic floor symptoms don’t automatically mean you need to stop lifting weights 💪

• Research now supports heavier lifting is NOT linked to more pelvic floor or prolapse symptoms.

• Symptoms like leaking, heaviness, or pressure are signs to adjust — not avoid movement.

• Strength training can still be safe and beneficial with the right support ✨

The goal is learning how to:
✨ manage pressure
✨ breathe properly
✨ build strength gradually
✨ work with your body, not against it

That support comes from a Pilates foundation. Learning how to effectively engage your core and pelvic floor, and how to manage increased loads without increasing your symptoms is 🔑.

• Your pelvic floor deserves strategy, not fear 🤍

The fitness world loves labels like “beginner” and “advanced” — but movement is so much more nuanced than that.

In Pilates, we prefer language that supports choice, body awareness, and autonomy.

Because needing more support doesn’t make someone less capable.

And choosing more challenge doesn’t make someone more worthy.

The best option is always the one that helps YOU move well today ✨

I’m NOT saying there aren’t different levels of ability. And yes it may be suitable to group classes at times- however WITHIN a class I don’t feel we should focus on these labels- instead focus on the individual and where they’re at that day. Give them positive cues to choose the option that serves them at that time.

Keep it simple, keep it flowing ✨

Start with gentle warm-up moves, build into deeper core work, core while moving the spine, some hip and lower body work and then full body to finish.

Finish with a stretch, mobility work and breathing. Think: breathe, move, repeat.

Beginner Pilates doesn’t need to be complicated — just consistent 💫

Save this for your next flow 🤍

Slow Pilates isn’t “gentle” — it’s demanding by design.

When we slow movement down, we increase time under tension, challenge the nervous system, and remove momentum that usually hides weak links.

That’s why the shake shows up — and why results follow.

If fast workouts haven’t given you lasting strength, control, or body awareness, this is your sign to slow down and train smarter.

Consistency + precision > chasing intensity.

Join me in Freshly Centered Online to have Pilates in your own home, taught to give you the results you want.
