Good Morning Everyone

The weather is changeable, but we are open for mobility scooter & wheelchair hire.

The gate to our car park is now repaired, so the car park is fully open again.

I wish I could say that better weather is with us today but sadly not.

We are open, but please be aware that there are currently workers in our gate area, to repair the gate and fence.

Good Morning Everyone

As some of you may have noticed over the last few days, one of our big blue gates is missing!
Please take note that there is currently a Heras Fence in it's place.

Please be very careful when entering the car park, as the old gate is currently taking up a parking space.

Good Morning All

If you are booking a scooter for a holiday in Portsmouth, please check with the hotel, B&B, guest house or Airbnb, whether there is storage inside or outside the property and whether there is access for a mobility scooter or wheelchair.

Bookings need to be made, confirmed and paid for two weeks prior to your arrival.

If you require a membership form to be emailed to you please contact Shopmobility@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.

We can take membership and hire payments over the phone.

We are back to normal opening hours of 10am to 4pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Good Afternoon Everyone

Please note that despite what Google AI says, we do not have beach wheelchairs, we have never had the facilities for them. We do not have powerchairs either.

All Holiday Vehicles/Boot Scooters are now booked out until the second week in September, we have limited availability of MM4 scooters over the Victorious Festival. If you wish to pre-book, we suggest that you do so from tomorrow onwards.

If you wish to take a boot scooter abroad, on a cruise or an airplane, we have nothing suitable, you will need to contact Total Mobility or Mobility at Sea.

North End library are hosting a drawing workshop aimed at children aged 7-16 who are neurodivergent, SEND or have additional emotional and mental health needs.

Every Wednesday from 23 July - 27 August, 1pm to 3pm, local artist Andy White will show children how to draw with pencils, pens or felt tips. He will teach different methods and help you come up with new ideas.

Materials will be provided but you can bring your own if you wish - Andy will show you how to get the best out of them.

Good Afternoon Everyone

SWR and GWR are now allowing a certain size of mobility scooters and wheelchairs on their trains.
This example is from Portsmouth and Southsea Station.

As you can see Shellie's Broom fits perfectly in the box.
We have also measured it against our MM4 scooters and they too fit.
However, Class 3 mobility scooters are unable to fit in the box and are not allowed on trains.

Good Afternoon everyone,

Please note that our pedestrian gate is currently closed and for safety will remain so until Colas has finished working on the pavement and pedestrian crossing.

The gates to the car park in Lower Church Path will be open between 10am and 4pm. Please be aware of vehicles turning into and out of our car park, and remember it is a one way street and only accessible via the road leading past the Post Office in Slindon Street.
