About Gaby
Gabrielle (Gaby) has been a full time professional veterinary physiotherapist for 28 years. She started her own practice in 1992 as a peripatetic therapist and patients are referred to her from veterinary surgeons from all over the country. Gaby was made a Fellow of the Insistute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists ( IRVAP) in 2011.
In 2004, due to demand and starting a family, Gaby started to accept inpatients and moved to larger premises in 2014. Gaby specialises in the rehabilitation and the maximisation of athletic capability in performance horses. Injuries commonly dealt with are sacroiliac injuries, proximal suspensory desmitis, back issues including kissing spines, deep and superficial tendon problems, ligament strains, cervical abnormalities. The list is endless, but the results from the various physiotherapy machines and techniques that Gaby uses, produce optimal results.
Gaby is a great believer in prevention rather than cure, and is passionate about postural training and core strength in the equine patient.
Gaby offers day patient visits, Inpatient - short and long term treatment packages. Home visits are available, but one of the key machines that Gaby uses in her treatment packages is the Horse Power Plate which is available at the rehabilitation centre. Combining Veterinary Physiotherapy treatments with power plate sessions , results in optimum benefits and improved quality of healing.
Gaby has ridden since the age of 7. She has competed in all disciplines; becoming British National Champion in showing; competing up to Intermediate level BE and competing at the National BD championships in 2010.
