In moments of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm, grounding can help bring you back into your body and the present moment.

Here’s a quick way to ground yourself: ✨ Step outside — barefoot if you can. ✨ Take a few deep belly breaths. ✨ Notice 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste. ✨ Breathe. Be. Anchor into now.

Whether it’s standing on the earth, connecting with your breath, or simply sipping a warm cup of tea with awareness — grounding brings us home.

🌞 Finding That Summer Joy Within 🌞

This summer, I’ve been reminded that true joy doesn’t always come from others — it comes from within.

I recently attended a festival on my own, and although it felt a little daunting at first, something magical happened… I connected deeply with myself. I danced, I laughed, I sat in stillness with the earth beneath me, and I remembered that I don’t need anyone else to bring me joy — because I already carry it inside.

This is your reminder too:
✨ You don’t have to wait for the “right moment” or the “right people.”
✨ Your joy is yours — it lives in your breath, your smile, your freedom to be you.
✨ Step outside, feel the sun on your skin, and let your soul play.

Did you know... laughter and crying have the same release effect on the body?

Last week during my meditation class, we explored something truly powerful: laughter yoga. It may sound silly at first—but the benefits are deep.

When we laugh, our bodies release tension, boost feel-good hormones, and even access the same emotional pathways as crying. So next time you feel the weight of pain or stress… try laughing instead of crying. Let it out with a giggle, a chuckle, or even a big belly laugh. 💛

It's not about denying how we feel, but allowing the release to come through joy instead of sorrow.

Laughter really is healing.

💔 Grieving the End of a Relationship 💔

Grief doesn’t just come when someone passes away — it also comes when a relationship ends.

Even when you know it’s the right decision, it still hurts. You grieve the memories, the future you imagined, the love you gave, and sometimes, the version of you that existed in that chapter.

It’s okay to feel sad, angry, confused, or even relieved — sometimes all at once. Grief isn’t linear, and healing takes time.

I’m learning to be gentle with myself. To let the waves come and go. To honour what was, while slowly making space for what’s next.

Today it would have been mine 16th anniversary

Time is so funny in grief. You have two timelines. The one with them and the one without them.

This year I have felt time move even more faster, as I didn't realise this date was approaching.

Then suddenly it is here! Which is hard to process 🤔 for one thing you are moving on in your grief, but in another you are worried that you will forget your grief 😔

Grief is a funny thing. Never the same for everyone. Always changing.

For me grief is ❤️. When it knocks on door. Like today. It is reminding me of love we had.

Grief means you are always healing the lost you had and lost you don't have ❤️

You take a look around and see that everyone and everything continues to move on.

You life just stops..

But in time and when you are ready. Your life does starts move on.

Welcome

My name is Amanda

I have started to do mindfulness for over 3 years when I completed my 8 week course. Since then mindfulness has taken over my life!

My mission is to bring mindfulness to everyone from young to the old. I finished a course for mindfulness for children and have seen what an impact it can make on their lives! I have worked at school for over 3 years and have seen the stresses and anxieties that children are being faced with. Mindfulness can help ease the stress of school and give them a tool to control their feelings and emotions.
