he sun shines! The class is from 10 to 11.30 am. Regular Yoga can strengthen your muscles, increase your flexibility, improve your breathing and bring you deep relaxation. It is suitable for anyone and everyone whatever your age, fitness level or gender! some people do the class sitting on a chair or standing. The Remedial class is for anyone who wants all the benefits of Yoga but finds it difficult to get down on the floor and back up again. It's suitable for anyone recovering from serious illness or accident or with conditions such as arthritis, MS, ME or anyone who has mobility issues.

February has started bright and sunny but somewhat cold. Come along to this friendly Yoga group and warm yourself up!

We meet in the Castle Community Centre, just off the South Street car park on Thursdays from 10.30 to Noon.

Yoga is for EVERYONE. it is not about perfection. It is about gradual improvement, self-love and tranquility - and this is available to all of us.

The class runs in term times and a little more and you do need to book your place if you are new to the class.

You can boost your physical and mental health while you relax, stretch and meditate in regular classes.
Each class includes breathing practice, stretching, Asanas (postures), movement, relaxation or meditation and maybe chanting.
You can come as a beginner or with years of experience as everyone works at their own level in Yoga. So there's no need to be very fit or flexible - that will come as you attend the class!

Beginners and men are always welcome!

What do you need to bring?
Please wear stretchy clothes and bring a cushion and a blanket or throw - I have a spare mat you can borrow.

You may need extra warm clothes as I keep the windows open to keep us Covid safe.

Do you need to get moving but can't get down to the floor or back up again? Come and join this Chair Exercise group class on Tuesdays from 2 to 3.00pm in the Torrington Methodist Church Hall at the top of Mill Street. It's a small and friendly class and you can improve your strength and flexibility and we always end with a relaxing guided visualisation!

Are you feeling stiff and achy? Or finding it too difficult to get down on the floor or back up again? Would you like to get stronger and more flexible? Then come and join the Chair Exercise Class on Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 3pm at the Methodist Church Hall, Torrington. Some of the class is done sitting on a chair and some standing, using the chair for balance and support. You can sit for the whole class if you need to. We do a range of movements keeping joints flexible and strengthening muscles and finish with a lovely guided relaxation. Current members say they feel looser and more relaxed.

Are you stiff or achy? Do you want to increase your mobility?

I'm running a chair-based exercise class on Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 3pm in the Methodist church hall at the top of Mill Street , Great Torrington - which is fully accessible.
Classes on March 5th and 12th and will resume on April 23rd 2024.

Do come and join us if you have mobility issues or find getting up & down from the floor difficult. It might also suit you if you're having to work around an injury or recovering from an operation.

You can do the whole class sitting on the chair or standing - using the chair as a support if necessary.

This gentle but effective class is for people with chronic conditions such as arthritis, MS, weight issues, stiffness, long covid, limited movement or fatigue, insomnia or stress.

You can benefit from: an increased range of movement, slow building of strength, a sense of relaxation and calmness, better sleep, increased confidence, better vitality and a sense of deep rest.

The class includes gentle movements, breath awareness, stretching and strengthening and finishes with a relaxing guided visualisation.

If you are keen to have a more flexible and stronger body and a more peaceful mind but struggle with floor based classes then this class is for you!

Each class costs £8 and you can pay in cash or by bank transfer on the day of the class.

I think everyone does so I'm running a Reiki First Level Course which is suitable for anyone.
The main focus is on healing yourself and then helping family and friends.
This 3 day course is on Saturday & Sunday February 10th & 11th and Sunday March 3rd in Torrington
You can learn a simple way to heal yourself and your friends and family.
