Taming the Scorpion
This September 18th, Jo Sheerin and Paul Sheerin have decided to take on an incredible challenge walking the Naufluft trail in Namibia.
Lions & tigers & bears…no …it’s leopards, hyenas, & snakes.
The striking remoteness and stunning terrain of the park, coupled with the rare opportunity it offers it’s guests to walk among endangered animals living in their natural habitat, attracts a small
number of fit trekkers to the area each year. We will be completing the first 4 days of the trail which will involve long hot days in tough conditions!
Whist the physical challenge is tough carrying all of our provisions for 4 days in 40 degree heat - the mental challenge will be even tougher.
As this is an African challenge, it only seemed apt to raise money for Kasupe - a Malawian charity close to our hearts who supports the Monkey Bay community through education & social enterprise and has already built a primary school & nursery educating & feeding over 800 children a day.
Any donations large or small gratefully received - I think we will need the inspiration.
