Thank you to for inviting us once again to staff the Wellbeing Hub at their Fabulous Village Fete, along with our friends at . It’s such a fun day out at watching the great and the good of the technical entertainment industry compete on the racetrack and raise so much money for this fantastic organisation. The racing, the food, the company, the music ... we had a blast.

Sadly didn’t win any of the incredible raffle prizes (actually really sad about this as they were seriously cool. Helicopter ride? Spa weekend? Brand new state-of-the-art sound system? YES PLEASE!) - but we did contribute some therapy sessions to the silent auction and were delighted to help with the fundraising efforts.

There were so many familiar faces there and we made some new friends as well. See you again next year! 🏎️ 🎶 🎸 ☀️

We loved partnering with NIVA this year. We provided copies of the Touring & Mental Health Manual to be placed into key dressing rooms and public areas to give a little mental health oomph to anyone curious - and we also created a special QR code to buy copies, with 20% of every order going direct to NIVA!

In case you aren’t familiar with these wonderful folk and the fantastic ways they serve our industry, The National Independent Venue Association is the national trade association representing thousands of independent live entertainment venues, festivals, promoters, and more in the USA. They work to preserve and nurture the ecosystem of live entertainment, and they host an annual industry-leading conference to further the cause. Thanks for having us! (and huge thanks to for the invite ❤️)

Thank you to our friends at PLSN for helping us spread the word about our new online tour support! It's wonderful to have so much support!!

We have already confirmed a couple of Pay-it-Forward partners (thanks to our secret weapon Laura Newton 🦸‍♀️ ), which enables us to offer online health and welfare coaching to tours on lower budgets.

If you think your organisation needs some help improving living and working conditions on the road (or you think they might be interested in supporting the wider community) do get in touch! info @ music industry therapists . com

🚨 New Service Announcement! 🚨 welfare coaching for artists, crew and performers - whenever, wherever.

An innovative new service from MITC 💡

Touring professionals face unique challenges - long hours, constant travel, performance pressure, and little private time to access support. That’s why we’ve created a brand-new 24/7 expert-led coaching platform designed around the realities of tour life.

✅ Flexible and short-notice
✅ Confidential and global
✅ Led by therapists with music industry experience

Sessions offer support with:
🟡 Stress & burnout
🟡 Performance pressure
🟡 Substance use & recovery
🟡 Conflict & relationships
🟡 Work/life balance
🟡 Loneliness, disconnection & wellbeing

🤝 Pay It Forward

Our philanthropic model helps redress inequality in access to care. Unused sessions are donated to those touring at club and theatre level, where budgets are tight but need is high.

We’re also inviting agents, venues, promoters, sponsors and insurers to help us build a stronger, more connected community by contributing sessions that support rising talent.

Huge props to Janine Ellis for her research study into sexism and misogyny in the music business being presented at this year’s BACP conference. It will be available on demand for 3 months to delegates 👏🏼 You can read an extract of her work in an article she wrote exclusively for BAPAM on their website www.bapam.org.uk.

The research explores the experiences of music industry therapists working with clients affected by sexism and misogyny, and examines how how these issues emerge during the therapeutic experience.

Thank you ESNS and Sebastiaan Rodenhuis for sharing these beautiful pictures of MITC therapist Marie-Agnes 'mab' Beau at ESNS earlier this year. The photos were taken as part of Sebastiaan’s 'Humans of ESNS' series, which explored the people behind ESNS, from the people working for the organisation to the artists onstage. Inspired by ‘Humans of New York’.

Marie was at the conference providing backstage mental health support at Anne Löhr’s Mental Health Helpdesk. MITC has been really proud to partner with Anne for the past two years to offer private 1:1 appointments, which are made freely available to delegates during the event.

Marie said, “Most people are strong in the storm and afterwards they collapse. The music industry can demand a lot from you. This is true for artists, but perhaps even more so for tour managers. They are the ones who stand between the artist and the record companies, producers and others. Touring is exhausting, so getting into rest mode is very important. It starts with breathing: you literally let the stress flow out of your body. Go out into nature and listen to the silence, listen to your body. Your thoughts will come later. This will prepare you for the busy days, knowing that there must be quiet days in between."

We were blown away by the incredible reception for , , and panel, ‘Beyond Sadness & Muses: Depression in Artists’ at Bogotá — standing room only! The audience was deeply engaged, and the energy in the room was unforgettable. Santiago Cruz’s soulful acoustic performance was the cherry on the cake 🍒🧁🎶

The wellbeing resources at BIME are just as inspiring — immersive, playful, and truly breaking down barriers to support.

🎥 Head to our stories for exclusive video footage of the panel, thanks to ❤️

Thank you .k.bothra for your very kind words! And also for agreeing to be part of our panel on Parenthood in the Music Industry at .nl. The way that you and articulately and openly shared your experiences was appreciated by every single person who attended.

Becoming a parent or a carer while working in the music industry isn’t easy. This world of late nights, constant travel, and blurred boundaries can make caring for loved ones feel almost impossible at times. But as Sumit and Katie so eloquently explained during the panel; by offering flexibility, empathy, and support, we can make space for one another to show up both as professionals and as parents.

Programming panels gives us an opportunity to broaden conversations, offering a psychological and relational perspective to the lived experience and impact of business decisions and trends.

We always invite artists and seasoned music industry professionals to share their testimony, and the panels are curated and hosted by music industry psychotherapists and psychologists.

Thank you to SXSW, ESNS, Tallinn Music Week, ILMC, NAMM et al for giving us the opportunity, and thank you to Sumit Bothra and his artist Katie Melua for joining us this year at ESNS!
