Sometimes I bring my work home (well, I work from home most of the time), therefore it gives me a chance to relax and unwind a bit - or to experiment with a new aromatherapy face mask recipe. This one has ho leaf and clary sage in it. There's something wonderful about making your own masks, every one is a little bit different.. Although maybe my face is saying it wasn't the best blend.

I love reading, not so much fiction these days, although I would like to read more, but I do enjoy flicking through articles and books about reflexology, picking up new ideas.
Two of my favourite places to look online are the private Facebook group for their members and Love Reflexology (https://www.facebook.com/groups/lovereflexology)
I can wholly recommend both groups.
It's funny that after many years, the Laura Norman Reflexology Workbook is probably still my favourite for ideas in general for various conditions. Noone, to my knowledge, has produced anything that even comes close to it.
The Podycharts is a huge talking point in class, it's really making us think and turning reflexology on it's head.. and if it's not doing that for you then it's certainly a hot talking point in our circles.

Did you know that you can treat the chakras through the feet?
Our energetic connection works on many levels and experiencing chakra balancing through reflexology can be a wonderfully uplifting experience.
When our chakras are balancing we feel much more at ease with ourselves, more well and more positive. Why not give it a try?

You may have already heard of Menopause Reflexology, which is helping so many women through the difficult symptoms they may experience through perimenopause and menopause.

I am now offering support through menopause using reflexology techniques in my Kings Heath clinic. Please get in touch if you would like to book a session.

In November 2024, a paper entitled ‘Foot Reflexology for Managing Menopausal Symptoms in Women: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis’ was published.

It highlighted the symptoms experienced, such as hot flushes, night sweats, anxiety, fatigue, depression and sleep disturbances as major issues.

Mataanalysis of the data found that reflexology has significant effects on menopausal symptoms, in particular to fatigue but seemed to have a positive but lower impact on anxiety and depression.

Compton Care are looking for a volunteer complementary therapist. Compton Hospice has offered patients in Wolverhampton support for many years and working with people on their cancer journey can be very rewarding.
I worked as a therapist in Walsall for the NHS and we also worked at Walsall Hospice. It was the most rewarding work I have ever done, we were all blessed to be able to support people at a sensitive time in their lives.
If you are interested in this work and have your Level 3 qualifications then why not apply.

Just three more sleeps until our next intake of reflexology students begin their exciting reflexology journey.

Reflexology is anything but a glorified foot massage, it is a way to discover the challenges your clients are facing and empowering them to make subtle yet profound changes to their lifestyle to improve their health and wellbeing.
It is also an exciting time of learning and personal development for our students, many of which are new to complementary therapies. This allows them the space to explore new ideas and to look forward to a new and bright future career.
