☕🍰 Join us at B’s Dementia Café – Tuesday 28th April 🍰☕

We’re delighted to be hosting B’s Dementia Café, a relaxed and welcoming space for people living with dementia, alongside their families, friends, and carers.

Led by an Admiral Nurse, the café offers the chance to enjoy a cuppa, slice of cake and supportive conversation in a friendly, understanding environment 💛

A small gesture that meant a lot to our team 🌼
Recently, a member of the Southport community popped into our Belong at Home hub to chat about the services we offer.

Over a cuppa, we took the time to listen, talk things through, and answer questions.

Later that day, she returned with this lovely plant as a thank-you a simple but thoughtful gesture that really brightened our space and our day.

Connection begins when we take the time to listen.

Moments like this remind us just how important community, kindness, and connection are 💚

Nicola Hewitt joined Belong at Home in 2017 as a Community Support Worker and what a journey it’s been since then. Through dedication, passion, and a commitment to our values, Nicola progressed to Senior, then Team Leader, and today proudly holds the role of Registered Manager and Area Manager for Warrington.

Nicola’s story is a perfect example of what’s possible when commitment meets opportunity. At Belong at Home, investing in our colleagues isn’t just important it’s part of who we are.

"I chose Belong at Home for my Grandad's care package as I used to work for them. Jane and the team are fab and I wouldn't trust anyone else to support a loved one of mine! All of the girls are great with Grandad, he can be a typical victor meldrew at times so does need someone who doesn't take any messing and will encourage and support at the same time!
Grandad has gone from being independent to needing outside support very quickly and it has taken some time for him to adjust to his new routine but the team have been fab in working alongside us as a family to ease Grandad into his routine and allowing support. Nothing is too much trouble to ask! Gaynor really shines and goes above and beyond and some more! Her relationship with my Grandad is second to none and she is polite and genuine not with just Grandad but with the whole family if we are visiting - she is even a fan favourite with my youngest daughter! I really do feel reassured and have peace of mind when Gaynor is there."

🌟 A Wonderful Afternoon for Our Belong at Home Newcastle-under-Lyme Customer, Peter! 🌟

Today we had the pleasure of supporting Peter out in the community and as a proud Port Vale fan, he had just one request: a trip to Vale Park! ⚽🖤🤍

We headed over to the Port Vale Club Shop for a browse, and despite it being incredibly busy with fans buying FA Cup tickets, the ticketing manager, Dave, took the time to come over and ask if we needed any help. After chatting, he kindly showed Peter the way into the ground and pointed us towards Lorne Street Reception.

Once there, James welcomed us warmly and made Peter’s day by taking him pitch‑side for a special photograph

Peter had a brilliant visit and couldn’t wait to get home to tell his family all about his afternoon at the Vale. Moments like these truly mean the world. ❤️

Belong’s high standard of care and companionship right in your own home

Belong at Home is run by North West based not-for-profit care provider, Belong, which specialises in supporting people with dementia. The service was launched to enable us to extend our support beyond villages to people’s own homes in the wider community. In line with our ‘home for life’ concept, we aim to support people whatever their physical needs or their stage of their journey with dementia. We bring the same pioneering spirit that led to the creation of Belong villages to our Belong at Home service, continuously looking to improve the way we operate. As a listening organisation, we take the lead from our customers, seeking constant feedback on what we can do better through ‘Our listening to the experts’ surveys, regular wellbeing reviews and feedback forums.
