💙 Dementia Drop-In Support at the Hub 💙

Bridget will be at the hub on Tuesday 27th January, 10am–3pm, offering drop-in support for anyone who has questions or would like advice about dementia.

🌼 We are truly honoured to share this heartfelt review received for Belong Warrington, with special appreciation for our Belong at Home team.

A huge thank you to the family member who took the time to send these kind words. Your feedback means so much to all of us.

💛 "My mother‑in‑law sadly passed away December 2025 after being in Belong Warrington for nearly 2 years. I was very happy when we got a place for her. She had been under the Care at Home team – getting daily visits, taking her for walks in the hallways, singing with her, showing her photos, supervising her making a drink, playing dominoes etc. The staff and Nicky their Manager were excellent with her. She looked forward to their visits.

It seemed the natural thing to do when she needed more help to go into residential care with Belong Warrington. When visiting her, we would take her into the Bistro for lunch where we still saw the staff from the Care at Home team. The staff on Forshaws made her very welcome, and we were very happy with the care she received.

She settled in and enjoyed being with the lovely group of ladies in there. She went to the hairdressing salon every 2 weeks to have her hair done. The staff have been a huge support to us at this sad time. Thank you for everything."

Sophie Registered Manager from our Wigan service chaired the Skills for Care meeting today alongside Ian Nelson Locality Manager. Skills for Care ✨

We had a great session which was mainly CQC focused, how to evidence that we are ‘Outstanding’ ⭐️

Our Wigan Network is a safe space for registered managers to collaborate and work together. 💡

"I cannot say how fabulous Belong@Home Macclesfield were in attending to and caring for my father in the final few months of his life. They were loving, attentive, thoughtful, flexible and very patient with my father, a man who required things to be "just so". The leaders/managers were also always willing to use their extensive experience and provide good advice and support (their suggestion to get a night-time "p*e bottle" was enormously helpful). While my father would've preferred the care worker to have been a single individual, I understand that this is not possible, but I do appreciate that B@H tried to keep the number of different faces he saw down to a minimum. I cannot praise all the staff enough. Thank you!"

"I cannot praise Belong at Home highly enough. Every support wish has been exceptional, showing kindness, patience and genuine compassion at all times. The care and support given to my parents, who both living with alzheimers consistently goes for beyond my expectations. During an extremely difficult period when my parents were left without heating due to a boiler failure, the team truly went above and beyond. Support wishes stepped in to cover extra shifts without hesitation, ensuring my parents were safe, warm and reassured. They even helped me with getting repairs organised as I was on holiday. The care and commitment mean more to our family than words can say. I will always be deeply thankful to Belong at Home."
