Classes are conducted by Nabilah Whitaker (Bella), certified through Yoga Alliance, UK, with experience in the UK and Singapore. Successful completion of 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training Course with Dr. Venky's Shivshakti Yoga Institute (International), India. Specialised in Gentle, Hatha, Vinyasa, Therapy, Chair and Kids yoga. Classes are customised to meet the specific needs and objectives of participants for group, corporate and private classes at homes, offices and schools - for both adults and children. Eulogy for a Cherished Friend, Anne x

Today, I’d like to honour and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman — my dear friend, my yoga client, and a soul who brought warmth, wisdom, and kindness into every space she entered.

Her presence was a gift, and though her physical form is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

I first met her through yoga, but over time, our connection grew into something much deeper.

She was more than a student; she became an inspiration, and a friend I deeply respected.

She shared with me stories of her life — her family, her friends, and the experiences that shaped her.

She spoke often about her travels, and I still remember how her eyes sparkled as she described her holiday in Singapore — the efficiency and cleanliness of the country, the friendliness of the people, and the memories she had made.

Through her words, it brought back my own memories and times I had walked those bustling streets I grew up in, and enjoyed the beauty of the place she so admired.

But what I cherish most is the way she made me feel — like family. Being far from my own, she became a source of comfort and familiarity.

Every week, our time together reminded me that home is not just a place; it is found in the people who care for you, who listen, who share laughter and wisdom.

In her presence, I felt less alone. She was a steady presence, someone I could always count on for a kind word, a knowing smile, or a heartfelt conversation.

Her strength, resilience, and grace were qualities I deeply admired. She faced life’s challenges with unwavering courage, always choosing to see the beauty in the little things. She lived with intention, cherishing moments with loved ones and embracing the simple joys that made life meaningful.

Though we mourn her loss today, I find solace in knowing that she lived a life full of love, kindness, and purpose.

She taught me so much; about the power of connection, of showing up for one another, of living with an open heart. I will carry these lessons with me always.

To my dear friend, Anne,

Thank you for being a light in my life. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the moments of quiet understanding. You will be missed beyond words, but your love and wisdom will forever be a part of me.

May you rest in peace, surrounded by the love that you so generously gave to others.

As I celebrate my 50th birthday on 7th February 2025, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of love, kindness, and warm wishes.

Your messages have touched my heart deeply, and I feel truly blessed to have such incredible people in my life. Thank you for making this milestone even more special.

Reflecting on this journey, I can’t help but think about the twists and turns that have brought me to where I am today.

Moving to the UK from Singapore 14 years ago was a leap of faith, filled with both challenges and triumphs. There were moments of doubt and uncertainty, but also countless opportunities for growth and resilience. Through it all, I’ve learned to embrace the ups and downs, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

Building my yoga business from scratch, without any local contacts or recommendations, was no small feat. Yet, with the unwavering support of the local community, I’ve been able to create something meaningful and fulfilling.

Your trust in me as a guide on your wellness journeys has been a source of immense inspiration. I promise to continue giving my best, supporting you as you’ve supported me.

Being far away from home in Singapore has not always been easy, but the people I’ve met along the way have enriched my life in ways I could never have imagined. The experiences I’ve had, the lessons I’ve learned, and the connections I’ve made are treasures I hold close to my heart.

As I stand at this milestone, I am filled with gratitude for the life I’ve lived so far and excitement for the adventures yet to come.
