✨Not all heroes wear capes...but they DO wear specs✨

Not your average Saturday at Jo Padmore Eyewear a couple of weeks ago! Two would-be thieves dashed in and started sweeping frames into a bag in the middle of the working day - but they didn’t count on one of our brave clients stepping in like a true legend 💪

Thanks to his quick thinking (and possibly excellent vision), the bag was wrestled back and the pair ran off empty-handed.

Not all heroes wear capes… but it turns out they do wear specs.

A very rare bit of drama for our lovely, peaceful village - business as usual resumes!

✨Why invest in high quality sunglasses; Reason 1✨

As you may know by now we are full swing into our summer sunglasses sale! We thought it might be helpful to remind you why it's important to invest in good quality sunglasses just like you would with your normal glasses.

First up...Better UV Protection!

👉 Eye Health: High-quality sunglasses block 99–100% of UVA and UVB rays, which helps prevent eye damage and reduces the risk of cataracts, macular degeneration, and other eye issues caused by sun exposure.
👉 Skin Protection: They also reduce the risk of skin cancer around your eyes by protecting the delicate skin from harmful UV rays.

There are some lovely fashion sunglasses out there but none can rival the UV protection you get from a quality pair. They're often quite flimsy and easily scratched. Buy cheap buy twice and all that!

May we take utter pleasure in introducing you to Lisa, our new Practice Manager who was so keen to come and join our team she hot footed it here from that there London.

Lisa brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in running a busy high end practice.

She's recently relocated back to her home town in Cheshire, and can't wait to adopt a northern accent once more...

She loves to run, loves a pale Rosé, enjoys a spot of football (watching not playing 🤣)...and of course she loves to shop otherwise she wouldn't be allowed in our gang 🤣. In short, she's an absolute delight.

✨ We're delighted they're here✨

Many of you have already met them but we're delighted to officially introduce you to the newest members of our team. All looking fabulous sporting DITA sunglasses from our recent open day.

Nell, Ari, and Rosie joined the Jo Padmore Eyewear team a few weeks ago to support front of house and generally be a delight to be around. They are are all currently studying and are working to fund a trip to Africa together next year as part of a charity venture to help build much needed schools.

Nell, as many of you know, is Jo's daughter so optics is in her blood! So far so good with Mum and daughter working together 🤣.
