Bowes House Care Home Our dedicated team provides high-quality residential, dementia, nursing and short-term respite care

The skilled team at Bowes House care home provides a wide range of services, from short respite stays through to full-time nursing and residential care, as well as specialist dementia care. The Hailsham home blends old and new, incorporating part of the old Victorian brewery buildings, dating from 1887 into a new-build facility. The home is divided into suites, each with its own lounge and dining

room, creating a 'community within a community'. The en-suite bedrooms have a flat-screen TV and 24-hour nurse call system. Ground-floor bedrooms open directly onto patios in the courtyard or garden. Outside, there are herbal, sensory and butterfly gardens, with plenty of seating to relax and spend time with friends and family on warmer days.

🎳🍕 Strikes, Slices & Smiles! 🍕🎳

This afternoon, our residents headed to Eastbourne Tenpin for a fun-filled game of bowling. There was plenty of laughter, a few strikes, and maybe even some friendly competition! 🏆

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a delicious slice of pizza and a refreshing drink – the perfect way to round off a lovely afternoon together. 💙

🌊🍦 An Afternoon by the Sea 🍦🌊

On Tuesday afternoon, two of our lovely residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to Eastbourne seafront. The sun was shining, the waves were gentle, and of course… there was ice cream! 😋🍨

It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon, soaking up the fresh sea air and making sweet memories together. 💙

🎉 What a fantastic day! 🎉

On Saturday 9th August, we hosted our Family Fun Day here at Bowes House in support of the Alzheimer’s Society – and what a day it was! 💜

The afternoon was filled with fun, laughter, and joy, and it was wonderful to welcome members of the public to experience the warm, friendly atmosphere we’re so proud of here.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’re thrilled to share that we raised £228.31 for such an important cause. Every penny will help make a difference in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, joined in the fun, and supported our event – we couldn’t have done it without you! 💐💜

This afternoon, our group of wonderful gents enjoyed a lovely trip out to The Polegate Harvester! 🌞

There was plenty of good food, warm conversation, and lots of laughter shared around the table. We spent time chatting about our amazing carers, sharing memories, and enjoying each other’s company – just the way afternoons should be! 💬😊

It’s always a joy to see our residents out and about, making special memories together. ❤️

Just a friendly reminder that our Family Fun Day is happening this Saturday at Bowes House! 🎉

We’ve got a whole host of fun lined up for all ages – games, stalls, and even a BBQ! 🍔🌭 It’s going to be a fabulous day for the whole family, and best of all, it’s all in support of the Alzheimer’s Society 💙

🎯🎈🎨 So come along, bring your loved ones, and enjoy the fun while supporting an amazing cause.

🪙 Don’t forget to bring your change – many of the activities and stalls will require small cash payments, and every little bit goes towards raising vital funds.

🌸 Lovely Day Out at Hillier Garden Centre! 🌸

Our residents at Bowes House recently enjoyed a delightful trip to Hillier Garden Centre! 🪴🌿 It was a wonderful day filled with fresh air, beautiful blooms, and a bit of retail therapy. From browsing colourful plants to enjoying a warm drink in the café, everyone had a fantastic time.

On Monday afternoon, our residents had an absolute blast during a fun-filled session of exercises and games! The competitive spirit was off the charts, and the room was filled with laughter from start to finish. 😄🏆

🎨🦋 Arts & Crafts Afternoon at Bowes House! 🦋🎨

This afternoon, our lovely residents got creative during a fun-filled arts and crafts session! They spent time painting and decorating beautiful butterflies, which will be used as part of the decorations for our upcoming Family Fun Day on Saturday 9th August. 🥳

Everyone really enjoyed the activity – the focus and attention to detail were amazing! We can’t wait to see these colourful creations on display for all to admire. 💜
