This week we say a fond farewell to our wonderful Louise, who has been part of our team for the past 4 years. 💙

Louise has been a dedicated and compassionate member of the Right at Home Portsmouth family, making such a difference to the lives of our clients and bringing positivity to her colleagues every single day.

She is now heading onto exciting pastures new in a brand new role, and while we will miss her hugely, we couldn’t be prouder to see her take this next step. 🌟

☀️ Family BBQ Fun in the Sun! 🌭🍔

On Saturday we swapped our PPE for picnic blankets at our Family BBQ at Queen Elizabeth Country Park - and what a day it was!

Our amazing team, along with their families (and some very cute four-legged friends 🐶), came together for great food, laughter, and a healthy dose of sunshine. The weather was certainly on our side.

It’s so special to take a step back from the day-to-day and enjoy time together.

🎉 2025: Halfway Through and What a Ride! 🚀

Our Community Fundraising & Marketing Manager, Tanya, has been on the move — and here’s her whirlwind report from the first half of the year!

"Where do I even start… except to say WOW — 2025 is flying by! 💨

We kicked things off full steam ahead with the operation of Heart and Stroll. Then in March, I teamed up with our brave Guernsey supporter Claire to climb the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, all to raise funds and awareness for Heartbeat! 🏟️

April brought Easter magic with Magna Rotary Club, who helped hide chocolatey goodness across the community for our Easter Egg Draws, thanks to Beaulieu Chocolate Studio. 🐣🍫

From there, it’s been all about connecting with our amazing community: visiting local businesses, meeting potential corporate partners, and even crossing the Solent for not one, but two trips to the Isle of Wight!
Our first-ever IOW fundraiser was a hit, and in October we’ll be back for round two!

I even made my radio debut with Ian at Vectis Radio, spreading the word about our events and how Heartbeat supports not just the island, but the entire Wessex region and beyond.

Heart and Stroll flew by and, just like that, event day was here! A huge success and already dreaming up how to make 2026 even bigger and better! 🚶‍♀️

And to top it all off... I had the absolute honour of presenting the Community Hero Award at the Central South Business Awards. With 15 amazing finalists doing life-changing work, it was nearly impossible to choose — but a massive congratulations to Right at Home Portsmouth, our well-deserved winners! 🌟👏

Now it’s eyes ahead for the rest of 2025:
