Regardless of individual circumstances… EVERYONE wants to retain as much INDEPENDENCE in our day-to-day lives as is feasibly possible! If you yourself are; or you are the relative and/or carer to an; elderly person, individual with physical disabilities or sensory impairments, or someone with learning disabilities or dementia; you will no doubt have repeatedly asked yourself one or more of the following questions:

Q.) I still want to be SOCIALLY ACTIVE and enjoy LEISURE/RECREATIONAL hobbies… BUT HOW CAN I??? Lincolnshire Home Care Limited offer individualised SOCIAL INCLUSION services, our friendly and well trained staff will support you (including transport to and from at a rate of 45 pence per mile) to access; the cinema, ten-pin bowling, football matches, pool/snooker halls, and swimming pools etc. CARERS for a relative or friend around the clock NEED A BREAK now and again to simply rest, or to allow them to take care of other responsibilities (e.g. household chores, shopping or banking which can be otherwise constricted). How can this be arranged? Lincolnshire Home Care Limited offer individualised SITTING SERVICES, whereby our friendly and well trained staff can either sit with a customer in the home, or take them out for specified periods, allowing the carer opportunity to utilise the time as required. I could remain living on my own independently in the community if only I could get assistance to complete the necessary GROCERY/HOUSEHOLD SHOPPING requirements. Lincolnshire Home Care Limited offers an individualised SHOPPING SERVICE. A friendly and well trained member of staff can either support you to access shops in person (including transport to and from at a rate of 45 pence per mile), or else follow instruction to complete the shopping on your behalf (in person, or online). I could remain living on my own independently in the community if only I could get assistance to complete the necessary weekly DOMESTIC CLEANING & HOUSEHOLD CHORES. Lincolnshire Home Care Limited offers an individualised DOMESTIC SERVICE. A friendly and well trained member of staff will undertake any cleaning & household chores required. Does my age/disability/illness have to stop me from going away and enjoying a HOLIDAY or SHORT BREAK? Lincolnshire Home Care Limited offers a range of Holidays and Short Breaks, fully supported day and night by our friendly and well trained members of staff. The prices quoted for all breaks & holidays will be fully inclusive (transport, food, & accommodation). All accommodation and locations have been carefully researched and assessed in terms of the appropriateness, safety and activities available in the vicinity for the customers. I need support with day-to-day tasks such as WASHING, DRESSING/UNDRESSING, FOOD PREPARATION and MEDICATION CONTROL. Can I receive this variety of support from one care provider? If so, can it be in multiple call slots spread throughout the day? Lincolnshire Home Care Limited provides a fully regulated PERSONAL CARE service. Based on County Council Care Assessments, and/or our own rigorous assessment of you specific care needs (which identify needs and suggest call timescales); we work to enable you to remain living independently in your own homes. Many of our customers have calls (of various lengths each time - between 15-60 minutes) spread throughout the day, for example, morning, lunch, tea, & bedtime. I have an APPOINTMENT (e.g. hospital, dental, benefits etc.) I must attend, but I will struggle to both get there, and also understand what is said to me during conversations. Is support available with such issues? Lincolnshire Home Care Limited offers a TRANSPORT & ADVOCACY SERVICE. A friendly and well trained member of staff can be provided on request to drive you to your appointment (at a rate of 45 pence per mile), and if required support you during the appointment to aid communication and/or understanding. How does one go about PAYING for the service(s) they receive? The services can be funded either; via DIRECT PAYMENT from the customer, or else the customer can contact their local Social Services office to request an assessment to be undertaken, to see if they are eligible for County Council funding.

FANTASTIC X

In September, the Magnificent Seven took on the London to Brighton bike ride for Parkinson’s UK. Team member Eric was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 15 years ago, at the age of 58 and took part in the challenge with his family and friends. 🚴🚴

His wife Ann said “Eric was a surveyor and gave up work after his diagnosis. It was a huge relief as the stress and anxiety of his work made his symptoms worse.

Parkinson's is a rubbish illness, but when Eric was first diagnosed, a nurse said to me ‘push every step of the way’ How wise her words were. We have faced the challenges and difficulties of PD head on and adjusted if needs be.

Our middle son decided to do the London to Brighton challenge a few months ago and spread the idea to family and friends. Our eldest son asked if Eric would like to join them and so the challenge began!

We have raised over £2,000 for Parkinson’s UK and are so touched by friends and neighbours' support and generosity.

I am immensely proud of my amazing husband and wonderful family. We wore our turquoise t-shirts on the day and the grandkids decorated flags to cheer the team on. We met with the Parkinson’s team at Lindfield Common and cheered our guys all the way!

They started as a team and finished as a team……..leaving Eric to cycle in pole position as they approached the finish.
‘Go Team El Go!!!!’ 🚴🏼

A huge congratulations to the Magnificent Seven and THANK YOU for fundraising for Parkinson's UK!! 🏅💙🏅💙
