Exciting updates! 🪴

This week we spent a fantastic few days with our friends at and the amazing filming our PMLD training for theatres, aiming to support theatre makers and organisations in welcoming and engaging audiences with profound disabilities.

Alongside creating theatre for our community, we hope our training will support inclusion of people with PMLD in creative spaces for many years to come!

This time a few weeks back we took our glorious Fern and Moss on a little adventure to to share our sensory workshop in our magical garden.🌱

It was such a joy to share our garden with you all. Our favourite moments had to be our conversations with you all afterwards and getting to know more about our wonderful audience. 💬

All at Oshi’s World would like to send out the biggest birthday bumps and celebration ever to Anna’s son Osian, who turns 10 today!!

The inspiration and heart of our team and all our work - we would not be doing any of this without you Osh and all you bring to the world and to the lives of all who are lucky enough to know you.

Here’s a “then and now” from Anna - from teeny tiny baby to soaking in the sunshine vibes and exploring the world on his tenth trip around the sun ☀️

Music is more than just sound—it’s a form of communication, a tool for connection, and a gateway to sensory storytelling. It soothes, excites, and brings our story to life in a way that words alone never could. Music connects us to ourselves, and to the world around us.

Our musicians adapt in real-time to the needs and interests of each audience member, ensuring that everyone can experience music in their own unique way—whether that’s through the vibration of a beat, the melody of a song, or the rhythm of a shared moment.

**We have space in one of our FREE sensory workshops this Friday**

Immersive sensory storytelling workshops for people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)”

Workshops are a huge and valued part of our creative journey. They provide an opportunity for us to meet with our audience and trial some of our ideas for our first show "Green Fingers".

They are laid-back storytelling, music making and immersive sensory experience with our audience guiding us.

Our ultimate objective is to have heaps of fun and enhance the experience of a disabled audience.

WELCOME TO OUR GARDEN
Our R&D at the Sherman Theatre was a beautiful step toward making our vision a reality. With songs that celebrate the Welsh language, we welcomed our audience into a world where they could access theatrical storytelling sensorily.

Made for small audiences of just 1-4, Greenfingers offers a bespoke and tailored creative interaction, ensuring each individual’s unique needs are met in a meaningful way.

Oshi’s World started as an accessible social space for creative activities and therapies for families. But as we grew, we saw firsthand how many creative experiences weren’t truly accessible for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). On our theatre trips, we found that wheelchair spaces were limited, often too far from the stage, and meaningful engagement with stories from our audiences was rare.

That’s why we’ve evolved. While we still remain a charity, Oshi’s World is now Wales’ first theatre company dedicated to creating multi-sensory performances exclusively for PMLD audiences. ��

Our work is immersive, interactive, and built alongside our audiences to create something truly special and tailored to the needs of each audience member.

We’re passionate about making theatre a space where everyone can experience the joy of storytelling. In 2024, we shared our first piece, Greenfingers, at the Sherman Theatre, marking the start of this exciting new chapter.
