🍎✨ Simple Stewed Apple with Cinnamon & Honey

Comforting, nourishing, and gentle on digestion β€” perfect as a snack or dessert!

Ingredients: 6–8 apples, Β½ tsp cinnamon, Β½ tsp honey (more if you like it sweeter)

Quick method: Chop apples, add to a pan with a splash of water, cinnamon, and honey. Simmer gently for 15–20 mins until soft and saucy. Serve warm!

✨ Six years ago, when I first started my training as a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, I picked up The Body’s Many Cries for Water by Dr. F. Batmanghelidj. At that time, I was stressed, achy, and tired β€” far from feeling alive and vital.

This book changed everything for me. As I began applying what I learned, I gained more energy, my aches started to ease, and it set me on a path of overcoming a long-term chronic inflammatory health condition. πŸ’«

Some of the the book’s many messages are simple but profound:
πŸ’§ Many illnesses today are rooted in chronic dehydration.
πŸ§‚ Medications often only soothe symptoms, but without rehydration, the root cause remains.
🌱 The body can only truly heal when it has the water and minerals it needs.

One line my lecturer at the time said has stayed with me:

β€œAll illness begins with dehydration, and all treatment plans begin with hydration.”

But when we say dehydration, we don't simply mean feeling thirsty. Dehydration from this perspective means dehydration at a cellular level, but this can be easily counteracted over time.

πŸ’¦ Sometimes, the simplest steps β€” like drinking water daily and adding good-quality salts to support absorption at cellular level β€” can be a complete game-changer.

And if 3–5 pints a day feels overwhelming, just start where you are:
