Prior to inducing hypnosis, we spend a large proportion of time reviewing notable cognitive, emotional and behavioural changes in line with your SMART goals. This determines areas of focus for the session.
It's surprising how much new information you gain each session from the discussion. It provides new insight into unhelpful beliefs, habits, triggers and cognitive patterns.
I generally brainstorm a treatment plan. However, it's very rare we follow a fixed plan on the day. Our discussion each session determines the direction for treatment on the day.
Listening to client needs and being flexible in your approach as a therapist, is key ๐๏ธ๐๐ป
