Janet Tibble Yoga Friendly weekly yoga classes in Upminster, Essex. Whether you are a beginner or experienced yogi you will find a warm reception.

Classes last one and a quarter hours. We start with some deep breathing to centre concentration and energise the body. After some preparatory gentle warm-ups we go into the postures, which include forward, back and side bends, balances and twists. Each session ends with a lovely relaxation to increase our sense of wellbeing and boost the immune system.

It’s been a great summer for our yoga this year. We were able to go alfresco at Coopers three times during July/August, never done that before. It’s so good to practise outside. In fact we had a session in the garden this week as Thames Chase wasn’t available. All cosy and back indoors now, both in the beautiful music room at Coopers and the education room at Thames Chase. 20 years of yoga at Coopers

I set up the yoga class at Coopers when I was teacher training and now, 20 years later, we are going stronger than ever.

Yoga is an opportunity to switch off from everyday life and have some me time. The classes are fun and friendly and provide a total mind and body workout, increasing flexibility, enhancing wellbeing and life balance.

Here is what some of the students say: "I am more flexible now than at any time in my adult life. The yoga class gives a sense of belonging and friendship."

"If I am tired or a little overwhelmed by the busy nature of life, making that time for yoga is always calming. For me yoga is a perfect combination of strength, balance and stillness, both physically and mentally, and I cannot imagine my life without it."

Why not come and give it a try. Tuesday evenings, 7.30pm in the beautiful space that is the music room at the Coopers Company & Coborn School, St Marys Lane, Upminster, RM14 3HS. All abilities welcome, including beginners.
