As the Summer holidays are now upon us, for many women, the never-ending cycle of daily busyness to come can leave us feeling both physically and emotionally exhausted. It's all too easy to find that we constantly drain ourselves without stopping to notice that we have forgotten to fill ourselves back up. That’s where self-care and self-love come in.
So, what's the difference between them?
Self-care can include taking the time to genuinely take care of ourselves from eating healthily, exercising and keeping fit, getting enough sleep moving our bodies, taking a nap, through to doing things that give us a boost that we enjoy.
Self-love is genuinely accepting and loving who you are right now. Loving your entire self, regardless of your income, relationship status, where you live, your weight, number of followers, etc. It’s a deep love and appreciation for yourself from the inside. Not based on anything exterior from yourself.
