Manorhey residents had a lovely festive evening at the Christmas markets, enjoying a comforting dinner of curry and rice to start. We hosted a dementia coffee morning with our dementia community and their families, and it truly was a lovely day. The room was filled with smiles, shared memories, a joyful sing-along, and some fun Christmas games. It was so special to spend that time together and see everyone enjoying the moment.

Residents at Manorhey enjoyed a fun afternoon taking part in a Christmas Photobooth activity. Choosing from a selection of props, residents posed for pictures which were printed out and given to them to decorate their rooms.

Everyone had a good laugh watching each other have their photographs taken. Instead of saying 'cheese', residents said 'mince pies'!

Winter has well and truly arrived! With that in mind, residents at Manorhey spent the morning thinking about the springtime that will soon follow. While watching calming videos of Earth's diverse wildlife and listening to the dramatic and stirring sounds of Vivaldi's Four Seasons violin concerto, residents used their artistic skills to create a dazzling gallery of butterfly paintings.

Everyone at Manorhey is embracing the Christmas spirit. As well as helping to decorate the Christmas trees, the residents have also been making their own decorations. Using plain, star-shaped baubles, they added stickers to create whimsical elves and Santas. These cute characters were hung on the tree, where they will stay until the upcoming Christmas Fayre. They will then be placed on sale, with all proceeds going directly into the residents' comfort fund. Wish our excellent elves and superb Santas good luck in their new homes (and on their new trees)!

Manorhey welcomed the Zoo Lab crew, who brought with them a fascinating collection of animals. During the informative and educational session, residents bravely handled many of the creatures. Cockroaches, gerbils and snails - oh my!
