In our natural burials, we never use plastic. No synthetic linings, no plastic caskets, just simple, sustainable materials that return gently to the earth. 🌎

This July, we're proud to stand alongside the movement to reduce plastic waste, not just in life, but in how we honour life, too.

Reminder: 🚧 Road Closure Notice – July 🚧

If you're planning to visit the Usk Castle Chase Natural Burial Meadow, please note that Monmouth Road will be closed for resurfacing on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th of July.

📍 Access from Raglan will still be available as usual, so you can reach the burial ground from that direction without any issues.

Diversions will be in place, but please be aware and allow a little extra time for your journey.

A time to celebrate the bees, butterflies and insects that quietly keep life going.

At Usk Castle Chase natural burial ground, we protect their habitats by letting wildflowers grow, avoiding pesticides, and mowing less. It’s a gentle way of giving back to the land and all who depend on it.

Because when nature thrives, so do we. 🌼

At Usk Castle Chase natural burial meadow, we do our best to tread lightly. No plastic flowers, no headstones, just trees, wildflowers, and the gentle return to nature.

Because when we care for the land, it gives back in ways we can’t measure. Like in birdsong, butterflies, and the stillness beneath the sky.

Did you know that natural burial grounds are quiet havens, not just for people, but for pollinators too?

With wildflowers instead of headstones, meadows instead of manicured lawns, and no pesticides or artificial turf, our spaces offer bees exactly what they need: peace, pollen, and purpose.

Bees play a vital role in our ecosystem, and by caring for the land gently, we give back to them. Helping nature thrive in all its buzzing, blooming beauty.

🌻 This World Bee Day, we’re celebrating the bees who make our meadows hum with life. Every wildflower we plant, every tree we protect, and every quiet moment of care contributes to their future, and ours.

🌼 Dandelion: More than just a w**d 🌼

Dandelions are often mown down too early, but they’re one of the first vital food sources for bees in spring.

This No Mow May, let them flourish. Because every “w**d” is a wildflower with a purpose.

Look closer. You’ll see bees, beetles and butterflies giving thanks.
