πŸ§€ National Cheese DayπŸ§€
Today we celebrated national cheese day with some cheese tasting this morning. Staff, residents & family members were offered a selection of cheese such as Cranberry wensleydale, smoked cheese, red Leicester, Brie, Stilton & Aprocot Wensleydale to try along with pickle, crackers and grapes. Everyone seemed to really enjoy this activity (who doesnt love cheese?!)
This afternoon we played some games - Velctro target & Hoop Toss, competing against each other for the high score. A massive well done to Doreen for scoring 250 in velcro target & Cath For scoring 30 in Hoop Toss πŸ‘

We've had a swap around today.
The quiet lounge has been moved to what was the dining room. The room gives an extra cosy feel, with games and snacks available.
The dining room (was the quiet lounge) offers a warm welcoming atmosphere, for the residents to have their lunch and take part in activities 😊

The bingo prize box has been restocked today so it was only fair that we had a few rounds of bingo before lunch.
After lunch we had our residents meeting discussing topics such as the activities, food, care and other aspects of the home. The feedback overall was brilliant and residents voiced their positive views and experiences of the home.
After the meeting residents split up in to little activity groups. Some opted to watch countdown on the tv in the lounge whilst others opted to complete some puzzle booklets.

Our Location.

The Old Rectory was built in the 16th Century and forms a central focus within the home, sited on the edge of Bramshall which is a small village between Uttoxeter and Stafford. The Old Rectory overlooks the vale of Bramshall which forms a backdrop of unspolit rural English countryside providing an atmosphere of contentment and tranquillity. This idealic 'Constable' scene is matched by an internal environment which styles its two main lounges on that of a mid 20th Century country house, with a dining room which one would expect to find in a fist class country hotel. Bedrooms are either standard or premium, many having en-suite toilet and bathing facilities, the majority with garden and scenic views.
