Yesterday we did some crafts and started on the Easter bonnets. The residents chose what they wanted on their hats and It was the perfect time to have a one to one with them.
In the afternoon Reverend Charles and some lovely people from the Renew church came and did a church service for us. Some of the residents chose to have holy communion and we all sang some hymns.

The residents in their rooms didn’t miss out as Reverend Charles went in to see them all and said some prayers.

Today we’ve had a film show by Joe Bradbury. Joe took the residents on a journey to Kingsley Moor to Ashbourne, Islam, Hanley Park, Trentham and then finishing off in Llandudno.
This is a therapeutic activity as well as giving the residents a sense of community social engagement and boosts mood.

We’ve taken down St Patrick’s day decorations and put the Easter decorations up.

Happy birthday to one of our ladies today.

This afternoon it was eyes down for our Wednesday bingo.

We’re having a raffle for Easter which is an Easter basket full of goodies so if you would like some tickets they’re £1 a strip. Any money raised will go to the residents for activities. Ask Margie or Jane

Yesterday was a busy day. Decorating the home for St Patrick’s day. Hair and manicures day, jigsaws and exercise with our personal trainer.
Today it’s been St Patrick’s so the residents have had a-bit of fun having their photos taken in a home made leprechauns top hat.

Mother’s Day has been lovely. Family visits with presents, a roast dinner then beautiful cakes for afternoon tea made by Dee and Ashley two of our kitchen staff. One of our ladies went out with her daughter to see her other daughter in Burton, she was so happy bless her.

Yesterday we did some baking, a chocolate cake and some cookies. Baking can spark happy memories and engage the senses with the wonderful smells.
In the afternoon one of our residents wanted to go into town to treat herself and have a look around the charity shops. We finished off with a hot drink in Anytime lounge.

Today it’s been one of our ladies birthdays then another lady had an early Mother’s Day present.

Today we’ve done word search on the activity table. One of the residents thanked me after, she said it keeps her brain active.

We then did some magic painting which was quite a sedentary activity.

Afterwards it was time for some exercise with some exercise equipment which was fun as well as beneficial for strength and movement.

In the afternoon it was eyes 👀 down for a few games of Wednesday bingo.
