New Dispensary Times:

Monday to Friday 9 am to 1 pm (NOTE FOR PATIENTS SEEN THAT MORNING BY GP, ONLY) and 3pm to 5.45 pm (FOR ALL PATIENTS). Appointments at surgery:

1) Open access for all 8 am to 10.30 am, Please note Doctor starts seeing patients from 9 am onwards. Children and patients with Learning disabilities will be given priority during these sessions.

2) Telephone appointments availabl

e for housebound and working patients, telephone between 8 am and 10.30 am to book in each day.

3) We are open for evening surgery appointments for working patients and young children.

Receptionist Vacancies – Millview Surgery

We are looking to recruit 2 Receptionists to join our busy and friendly team at Millview Surgery.

Hours: 20 hours per week
Pay: £12.71 per hour

About the Role:
You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a professional and welcoming service both face-to-face and over the phone. Duties include booking appointments, handling patient enquiries, and supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks.

Requirements:

Excellent communication and telephone skills

Friendly, organised, and reliable

Ability to work well in a team

Basic IT skills

Customer service experience preferred

Knowledge of EMIS, Docman, and Accurx desirable (training can be provided)

If you need an urgent supply of your usual prescribed medicine, you may be able to request this through the NHS 111 online service.

This service is available for patients who have completely run out of a regular medicine and cannot wait for a routine prescription.

You can find out by using the Diabetes UK Know Your Risk tool. It only takes a few minutes to complete and could be one of the most important things you do today.

You’ll be asked a series of simple questions to see whether you are at low, moderate or high risk. Please make sure you have a tape measure handy, as you will need to measure your waist.

If you are found to be at moderate or high risk, you may be invited to sign up to your free local Healthier You service.
