🌸 Mother’s Day isn’t only about flowers and afternoon tea.
It’s also about presence.
Last evening my clients were a mum and her young adult daughter to which I offered a massage treatment in the comfort of their home … gentle ritual of slowing down together in anticipation of Mother’s Day.
No rush. No phones. No noise.
Just warm aromatic oils, slow breathing, soft music… and the quiet permission to simply be.
When two women who share a strong bond choose to experience this together, it becomes more than a treatment. It becomes love expressed through care, which is ever so nurturing.
It becomes:
A pause in busy lives
A shared memory
A deep message that says:
“You matter. Your rest matters. Your wellbeing matters.”
Touch regulates the nervous system.
It lowers stress hormones.
It improves sleep.
It brings us back to ourselves.
And sometimes, it gently brings us back to each other: mum and daughter.
If you’re thinking about Mother’s Day why not consider also gifting something that lasts longer than a bouquet.
Give her rest. Give her time. Give her the feeling of being cared for.
Because relaxation isn’t a luxury.
It’s a way of saying, “I love you, Mum,” without words. 🤍
